At Bristol there is a classical reception graduate program I think, but not sure what kind of degree it's for.

Has anyone heard anything further? I have an overseas admit and they weren't too friendly when I asked to postpone. I wasn't in the first batch of acceptances or the couple rejections the other day. Does that mean waitlist? At another school I wasn't in the batch of acceptances or rejections and was told later that I was on the waitlist. I'm getting really stressed out because I feel like I'm going to lose an option just to wait to get rejected later...

There's a course on right now taught by Nagy online about the epic hero. His books on the subject are fascinating and I think he goes through the illiad in that course so I would suggest googling it and see if you like it. I think you can get a certificate, but it will also expose you to more Homeric values and concepts. MIT and Stanford may also have online lectures. I know there's coursera (which has online courses) but they each might have their own online learning platform. Good luck!

fullofpink, would you mind saying what school that is? I'm mainly waiting on Williams at this point. I haven't heard from UNC, but assume I'm waitlisted or rejected.

I applied to UNC and I haven't heard anything back and have checked the website. Since people have posted acceptances and rejections, am I to assume I'm waitlisted? I'm a little confused. Do you think I should email the DGS? It is still pretty early in the application season comparatively.

Mrb - This makes me so nervous! I have my first interview at Williams and I've never done an interview like this before! And I haven't taken a theory class yet (I'm taking one next semester) ackkk
