  1. Has anyone heard from the Cognition & Perception program? If so, any acceptances/rejections?
  2. It was unofficial. He wanted to Skype to discuss some weaknesses in my application. The committee met to discuss their top choice applicants. The ones that they generally agree are strong candidates will be invited for an interview. Not sure the exact timeline for everything, and based on what he said, each professor seems to work at his or her own pace. But since the meeting was this Monday, I'm sure they will start contacting people in the coming week.
  3. I applied to NYU, Harvard, UCLA and Boulder. I had a brief interview with an advisor at Harvard, and the admissions committee meeting was on Monday. There is no official recruitment weekend, but applicants should be invited starting next week. That's for the Cognition, Brain, & Behavior subfield though. What field did you apply for? I haven't heard from the other schools. Called NYU and the woman said they send out invites on a rolling basis. As far as UCLA, they will send out invites at the latest by next Friday (for Cognitive).
  4. So, it looks like I may have been mistaken about the interviews at UCLA. I could have sworn I read something about there being no interview process for Cognitive applicants. Anyways, the recruitment/interview schedule is on this site: http://www.psych.ucla.edu/graduate/prospective-students/application-instructions It states the following: Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive, and Learning and Behavior Areas: March 1 & 2, 2013 Also, the site says that applicants will be notified at least 2 weeks beforehand, so basically if we don't get an interview invite by February 15th, we'll know...
  5. Bah! I'm in a very similar situation as well. I applied to UCLA (Cognitive), Boulder (Cognitive), NYU (Cognition & Perception), and Harvard (Cognition). Haven't heard back from any of the schools. I do know that UCLA doesn't interview for the cognitive area (only clinical and social, I believe), so I wouldn't be too worried about that. NYU is my top choice, so I'm definitely in freak-out/GradCafe junkie mode. If anyone has heard anything related to the schools above, I'd love to know. But you're not alone, @RinseRepeat. I feel like I'm going insane. But I guess we won't know until we know.
  6. This is random, but has anyone heard anything from UCLA, Boulder, NYU, or Harvard? Specifically cognitive psych. This wait is killer, so if anyone has info, that would be bomb.
