  1. Whoop I got into Fordham. I sent my application in October. It was completed in first week of January!
  2. I submitted my application on 11/17. It was completed on 1/17 and I was accepted on Feb 7. This is for NYU btw. I received a scholarship with the acceptance letter.
  3. I'll be headed to New York and I'm from California!
  4. Did you receive an email notification or did it show up on your online vip page? I sent you a PM by the way.
  5. Hi everyone. Can anyone give me some pros/cons of both of these schools (excluding program)? I won't have the opportunity to visit both campuses and would love any insight to help me with my decision making! Thanks!
  6. I've heard through a couple people who lived in Boston that BC doesn't have a graduate school feel to it. Would you agree? I'm trying to decide whether BC is a better choice or NYU. :/
  7. Does anyone know much about Boston College? Campus? Location? Pros? Cons? I'm trying to narrow down my choices. Thanks!
  8. What do you mean by "people"? Could you elaborate more on that?
  9. They are giving me 7k which isn't a whole lot in my opinion.
  10. I submitted my app 11/06 and it was completed 11/20. They are giving me three weeks from when I receive the acceptance letter in the mail to confirm my spot. I'm a bit disappointed they don't give me a lot of time since I'm still waiting for other schools to respond. Good luck!
  11. Whoo got into Boston College. Hurraaaaahhh. They sent me an email today!
  12. Ughhh I still haven't heard from them. I caved in and sent an email, but I still haven't received a response. It'd be nice to hear from them soon so I can make a decision as to where I want to go. Do you know if Fordham or NYU require you to take a Statistics Prereq. course?
  13. Most schools take about 4-6 weeks generally to review your application and get back to you. Of course, the earlier you apply, the chances of you hearing back from them are sooner. It also depends if the schools you are applying to are on a rolling basis. If the school is on a rolling basis they will review it once your application is complete. But, if it is not, they generally wait til the deadline has passed..as far as I am aware of. I'm not sure about whether they send rejection letters or acceptance letters first...it all depends on the schools that you are applying to. Same goes with mail and electronic form---some schools will state that they will send their decision via email or mail (example: boston college). So what it really comes down to is which schools youre applying to because every school has their own way of dealing with the application process. Best of luck!
