  1. Hey I requested an invite, my name is Dee Kay
  2. I still haven't received my formal email of acceptance (I've so far only received an informal letter of acceptance). Is anyone on the same boat as I am? (or should I be worried?)
  3. You should definitely call them up, they tend to respond to your questions quicker. I tried emailing them once regarding admissions, and I didn't get a reply. I called them a week later and got a reply that same day.
  4. Congrats to Noreaster, BestAfterBegun, LeeSu2! As a Computer Engineering major, I'm glad there are such varieties of majors in this thread! I posted this on the subthread regarding housing, but I'll post again here: I'm currently residing in the Los Angeles area (CA), if anyone within the area is interested in meeting up for some coffee and discussing topics such as housing, the program, financial aid, just PM me and I can try to set something up!
  5. Hey, thanks CMC_Kid for creating this thread! I vaguely remember from somewhere that there would be dorm options available to BU LEAP students, but I'm assuming many of you won't be living in dorms due to the price? @ ghanada: I read about your description regarding Brookline, and how it is inexpensive and convenient to the location of the campus. Because I'm from California, I don't plan on having a car there. Would Brookline fit what I am looking for: 1.) Close to campus? I want a location where I won't have to plan an hour in advance just to get to campus every day. 2.) Stores nearby? Because I won't have a car, I want to live at an area thats fairly close to markets, dining places; pretty much having nearby access for basic needs. 3.) A close major train station. By close I mean something that is a manageable walking distance or biking distance. I want to be able to take a train to get to NYC (I really want to visit NYC, never been there before!) As for roommates or housemates, I am currently residing at CA (Los Angeles area) until school starts. If anyone wants to meetup at like a coffee shop and try to sort out these things, I would be more than happy to do so. Just PM me and I will get back to you!
  6. I still haven't heard back about financial aid or scholarships; they notified that it will come later through email. I'm guessing they received my FAFSA, as they haven't said anything about it. And as for age, I will be 24 in fall.
  7. Decision is final...I AM IN!!! :)
  8. I applied for computer engineering major, I recently found a new passion for programming and all that good stuff .
  9. Congrats!! I'm still nervously waiting on my results, but hopefully I'll join you in fall!
  10. OK that gives me more hope yet. Thank you for the input!!!
  11. I'm on the same boat as you. My GPA wasn't anything impressive (~2.6ish), but I did well in all my math and comp sci classes, and got a fairly good score in the GRE (163 quant). tl;dr My GPA is low, but every other scores / qualification is good. Im hoping for the best.
