  1. Haha not a problem. And thank you! Have you decided where you will be attending?

Yes, I'm pretty positive I will be attending Fordham University :) [i accepted their offer of admission a week ago] I haven't declined DU yet because I got a scholarship, that's going to be hard haha. I loved both programs but I'm excited about Fordham & NYC!

    Good luck at UW! :)

  2. I applied to Fordham and my application was complete on 2/5/13.... This is my number one choice and I am SOOO nervous. I got accepted to Adelphi in January but got denied from Hunter on 3/4. After getting rejected from Hunter I am SO nervous about Fordham. Anyone have any helpful words? Or has anyone been excepted yet!?!

Hello! I was the one who got accepted 03/4 & my application was complete on 01/14. The wait was the worst but I was elated when the news finally came, just hang in there!! I will be in attendance at the online information session this tues. & i will be visiting on march 27th-30th with my family. I can't wait and will have more info to offer by then.  I've actually sent in my statement of intent & deposit, though :D

Good luck and I will be sure to add any helpful information when I can :)

  3. Anyone know the time frame for hearing anything back from Ohio State? My application has said "Your application has been sent to the graduate program for academic review." since last Thursday? I'm getting anxious!

Congrats to everyone who has good news so far!

Hi kris427! My application to OSU was completed on 12/10/12 and my status was updated on 2/15/13- i continuously checked. About a week or so later I received a letter of admission and then another letter followed with more info.

I recently declined their offer though :( But, that just leaves a spot for someone else :) Best of luck!

  4. Congrats in Fordham! Still waiting... Ugh! So they send an email at all or u just have to keep checking your VIP page?

Got into Fordham today! I got a phone call and then an e-mail of acceptance! 6 for 6. No idea how to make this decision, eek. Though it was between UIC and Ohio State but Fordham is looking pretty good now...

Thanks!! I think it's different for everyone. I know when you fill out the online app they ask if you want to be notified by email or postal mail and I chose email. But as you can see almedina got a call and email which is cool!

Hopefully I will be getting a follow up email soon, but I checked the VIP page everyday :)

Almedina, what information was included in your email, if you dont mind me asking? And, does the cost of attendance link work on your VIP page? -I was having difficulties.

  5. The wait is finally over, I got into Fordham (the last school I was waiting on) !!! If anyone else's application was complete on or before Jan 14th, your VIP page may be updated. Take a look! Now I have to make a decision (I don't find out about VCU until May but they've been out of the running).

It's between Fordham and DU for me :)

Congrats to everyone on their acceptances and hang in there for those who are still waiting- I know the feeling, it comes to an end eventually haha!

  6. Thanks Subie19...i did get the email but my password does not want to work for the portfolio.  Guess I will be on the phones with IT later today  :)

However, I am on the facebook page so I hope to see you all on there soon!!

Also, I'm sure you may know this by now but they sent an email recently with instructions on how everything should work :)

  7. Yes, Boulder is beautiful! I will miss it as I will moving closer to DU. I don't know too much about the neighborhoods around DU. There is lots of student housing right around DU but some great neighborhoods are Baker, Capitol Hill, Washington Park, the Highlands, Park Hill, Uptown. There are so many! Of course there are good areas and the not so great ones.. just depends on what your budget is and your needs such as parking, yard, no roommates, etc. I would highly suggest trying to visit before hand and drive around Denver and DU. There is a light rail on South University and Buchtel which is a great method of transportation. Lakewood and Englewood are other cities near DU that are cheap to live in.

Thank you so much for all of the information!! I've been searching, with good findings, but I was trying to get information from a closer source. Thanks again!!

& Adri. H I hope you hear from your schools soon :) I know how unbearable the wait can be, haha.

  8. I was also accepted! I applied late last year and was waitlisted so I am thrilled to finally be going this year  :D

I live in Boulder which is 30 min outside of Denver. If anyone has any questions about Colorado or DU feel free to ask.

    Congratulations to all!

Congrats, that's awesome!! Glad you're going to be in attendance this year :)

I hear Boulder is beautiful as well *widens eyes* haha.

Would you happen to know anything about any of the neighborhoods around DU? I'm sure there is a forum here somewhere that I shall soon discover, but thought I'd ask here first. DU is in the University neighborhood if I'm not mistaken.

  9. Thank you guys!!

& Emily my status says the same thing: the previous box with "complete/ready to review" is no longer there and I have the option to accept or deny at the bottom-- although the decision technically says "not available." I am so tempted to just click accept, ha, but I am waiting for the letter/email and any notification about scholarship information.

  10. I got in to the University of Denver today!!!!! I literally just checked and my status has been updated!! The wait is over :) Hang in there for those who are still waiting.

Application was processed between Jan 2 & Jan 4th and my application status was updated today! I'll be receiving my email/letter soon I'm sure :)

Yay! Congrats again to the others.

  11. callyw22,

Hi! Sorry I accidentally gave you that green thumbs up thing (but that isn't a bad thing I suppose hehe. New to the website!)

So I applied to Denver 10/23 and they mailed my acceptance letter 1/8.

Hope that helps! Good luck! :)

maemouse882: Okay great, thank you!! :)

  12. Hi! New to the forum as well:

    I applied to:

    U of Michigan

    Eastern Michigan University

    UW

    USC

    SFSU

    ASU

    U of Denver

    Temple

    UConn

So far, I've received offers from ASU and U of Denver, but I am really now looking into schools in Michigan since I'm moving there with my boyfriend who got into dental school at University of Michigan.

For those curious about ASU, I got an email 1/18. U of Denver I got letter in the mail before I got email, but email received on 1/22

Temple & USC are a bust for me anyways, because the applications are (accidentally) incomplete.

Mainly though, I'm very interested in hearing from people who have applied/go to University of Michigan and EMU. I did receive an email from University of Michigan that they might wait later to make a decision on me, rather than now (so not a no, yes or waitlist, just a decide later). They called my boss to talk about his recommendation. Apparently my boss accidentally made it seem that he didn't recommend me full-heartedly, but after a talk, they cleared that up, so hopefully this whole decision later will be cleared up too! Based on other forums I've read, a bunch of UM people here back in early February, right in time for GSSA interviews.

Good luck everyone, the nerves have been driving me crazy for so long!

Congratulations on the acceptances! I'm patiently awaiting a letter from DU-- and all of my letters, actually! :) Do you remember when you submitted your app to Denver? I'm just trying to see what the possible time frame may be.

  13. Congratulations!!! Hopefully I will be joining you :) I recently applied to 5 programs--debating whether I should complete my application to UConn or not-- and I haven't heard back yet. Of course, I haven't been waiting very long-- the earliest application was submitted to U of Pitt on Dec. 31st. But, DU is my top choice. Im in love with their program.

Has anyone visited Denver? If so, how was it?

Good luck to everyone as they await their decisions and/or are still applying! :)
