Has anyone heard anything from UGA for drawing+painting? My application status was changed to "Decision made send to Grad school" a few days ago but still nothing.

That's comforting, so thank you for that. Guess all hope is not lost (yet). Waiting until mid April would be so rough! Don't most schools expect a decision by then?

Yeah I've heard the same as jwu. In talking to the professors at the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana, they said that as long as the applicant has a 3.0, they don't pay any attention to the gpa. And they said that even if it's a little lower than that, a strong portfolio can make up for it. No worries!

this silence is brutal. still nothing... from anyone. If a school has already sent out waitlist & interview emails, silence = rejection, yes? maybe?

My friend in studio applied to Florida State University for Painting and he got this email last week: "Congratulations! You have been nominated for the Adelaide Wilson Fellowship. This nomination comes as recognition of your potential to be successful artistically and academically at FSU." but he hasn't received any official acceptance letter yet. We're wondering if anyone else got that email? Or if that's an informal acceptance notification? Haha just gettin our hopes up over here. ya know.

I guess this is more of an anticipatory post... but has anyone heard back from their schools yet? Upcoming interviews, etc.? Do tell!
