  1. I had written U of Vermont off because they sent out acceptance emails about a month ago, but they just called me to ask me a few questions about my application. Most of it was about the difference between my undergrad GPA (3.2) and post-bacc GPA (4.0). I think I was on some waitlist and didn't even know it. Has anyone experienced something like this?
  2. EWU has given me some issues. Despite being a CSDCAS school, they wanted another official copy of my transcripts. I sent them at the beginning of my application process, but a couple weeks ago they said they hadn't gotten my undergrad transcripts. I sent them in again and they are still saying my application is incomplete. I've kind of given up
  3. I interviewed for funding but didn't get any (boo) but I saw on the results page that someone with funding is turning it down. Does that mean there might be a chance still? Do schools reallocate funding?
  4. The only school I was accepted to was out of state and I was thinking of just becoming a resident after my first year and sticking around for a few years. I'm looking at 50k in tuition only for the whole two years in addition to the $40,000 for undergrad/postbac. That doesn't even cover living expenses, although I may get some help from my parents. Right now my only hope is to do the PSLF program and get my debt forgiven after 10 years.
  5. I added University of Houston at the last minute because I messed up one application and wanted to make up for it. After researching the program and looking at the placements available in Houston, I started to become more interested. After a bevy of rejections and one wait list where I am on the third tier, I was accepted to Houston. So glad I decided to apply there! Still waiting on LSU-NOLA, but it's such a relief after receiving rejection after rejection. If you're still waiting, don't give up hope! All it takes is one school
  6. Is anyone else planning on attending the University of Houston this fall? I was recently accepted and I've decided to accept the admission offer! I've never been to Houston, so any insight into the school would be greatly appreciated!
  7. To whoever asked about Houston, I got my acceptance letter yesterday.
  8. I haven't heard from PSU yet but apparently lots of people have? This doesn't look good :/
  9. All I know is that they're reviewing applications right now.
  10. I got an email from MGH telling me to check my portal later today. I'm guessing that isn't good news.
  11. I have a phone interview with University of Houston this coming Monday about scholarships and funding (although they were pretty clear that it wasn't an offer of admission)- any ideas or tips? I've never done a funding interview before, let alone one over the phone, and I'm so nervous! It doesn't help that my allergies are acting up and I can't stop coughing.
  12. I'm hoping it's a good sign! The email said "this is not a confirmation of admission" so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
  13. Yup. Rejected from there. Luckily I have an interview about funding to soften the blow!
  14. I got an email telling me to check my portal but it's not loading. Probably not good news...
  15. Did anyone else get an email from University of Houston about an interview regarding scholarships and funding? And do they take Skype interviews?
  16. I just checked my portal this morning and it still doesn't have a decision. As if my anxiety needs anymore fuel!
  17. I would be happy with a waitlist at this point too.
  18. People are posting results for UVM. That makes two of my schools that others are getting results from that I haven't heard back from yet. I just want to hear something!
  19. I saw that too! This whole process is so nerve-wracking.
  20. I applied to 8, but messed up one of my applications and forgot to submit the supplemental so technically 7. I'm thinking about adding one more to cover that.
  21. I had a nice little Excel spreadsheet with all my grad school application info regarding deadlines, supplemental materials, etc. I had to stagger out the application process because there was no way I could afford to spend the $600 on all the application materials at one time. Unfortunately, I switched around two of the due dates so that I put PSU's due date as January 1st and Vermont's due date as January 15th. So now I have missed the due date for the supplemental application (the GRE and CSDCAS have been submitted) and it is too late to send it in as it is no longer an option online. I feel so stupid and I wasted a good amount of money on only a partial application! Plus I was really interested in going to the school
