I got an email today, saying that SACI will be looking for an artist for me to work with as an apprentice for a month in Florence. I'm pretty excited and it might also count towards my M.A. that I'm finishing up this summer. Some good news is always good. I haven't heard back from other schools though...this wait. Ughs. Happy to hear some of you have acceptances with funds included.

That's great! Congrats. Ughs...I'd rather hear now then keep waiting...hopes that I'm still a possibility!! for some schools.

hey thanks! It's so annoying guessing what's going on, on the other side of this application process... But I found something interesting today... http://www.saci-florence.org is a art program in florence, italy --- they have an mfa 2 year program, and post bach...and you can apply to go study for a semester or year if you want to be abroad to study art -- they have a wide variety of majors in art from ceramics to printmaking to photography - fresco painting - printmaking and drawing. I'm applying for an apprenticeship in ceramics. It seems like an interesting opportunity. There deadlines are mainly March 15th. But just another idea -- great experience to have abroad. Just thought I'd share.

hi -- some of you out there, have schools crossed off, did you already receive a letter not offering you a spot, or you've just decided not to go with an acceptance. Curious since I've applied and haven't heard anything yet from several schools, one being tyler and I just curious if they have notified everyone and since I haven't heard it probably because I'm not being offered a spot... Sorry this wait is driving me a bit nuts.

So I emailed them about this issue and said my application was complete and the reviewing process in currently in session. When I asked about the extended deadline, that wasn't answer but they did say not to resubmit a portfolio since they are currently reviewing applicants right now. On a different note...if anyone was applying for Photography and Film, and Graphic Design VCU is still taking applications until April 1st. curious... I went on slideroom to check my submissions making sure everything was in order for the millionth time! But I check vcu and they still have people able to submit for ceramics until April 1st... anyone else think that's odd?

i got ejected from Alfred, this week via snail mail. I haven't heard from VCU, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Cranbrook, Tyler, Mass art & Risd. I also applied for a residency at Skowhegan for the summer. And I'm planning on applying for some assistantships currently. Last year I got into AIB, but i didn't want a low residency program after thinking about it for a while.

Any chance any one knows if the application online says not entered, if that means not accepted. Or just not entered preference yet? Any help would be awesome. Thanks! getting nervous over here...

Congrats! How were you notified?? Ughs... Letter by snail mail from Alfred...rejected. Bummer. But that was a long shot for ceramics.

hi -- this is my second round of applications. i had been accept to AIB but it's low res and after thinking it over I really wanted to go away for my MFA. I wanted to live some where else and make work...tons of it. But anyhow I applied to several schools, for ceramics. It's pretty daunting to be waiting and I'm hoping to get in somewhere... know we all are. Just curious if anyone else is applying for ceramics? some of the schools i applied to were: Syracuse, Cranbrook, RISD, Alfred, Mass Art, VCU, & Tyler.
