Apply for financial aid by Feb 15th! Financial aid info comes out in March. Ask to join the facebook group http://www.facebook.com/groups/2013gsswadmittedstudents/ Check out the webCentral. They just sent out an email today about instructions on how to log in and such. I believe we get more info as far as field placement process and we can register for classes in July (at least last year registration was in July). So excited

Yes, Boulder is beautiful! I will miss it as I will moving closer to DU. I don't know too much about the neighborhoods around DU. There is lots of student housing right around DU but some great neighborhoods are Baker, Capitol Hill, Washington Park, the Highlands, Park Hill, Uptown. There are so many! Of course there are good areas and the not so great ones.. just depends on what your budget is and your needs such as parking, yard, no roommates, etc. I would highly suggest trying to visit before hand and drive around Denver and DU. There is a light rail on South University and Buchtel which is a great method of transportation. Lakewood and Englewood are other cities near DU that are cheap to live in. Hi all! I am also headed to DU this Fall. I received an email and a letter both confirming my acceptance. I believe the letter arrived first. I do know the GSSW has a Facebook page. In my acceptance email it said: "Also be sure to join the Admitted Student Group on webCentral. This valuable online resource can help you learn more about GSSW and connect with other admitted students. Please note that assignment of your first quarter course registration time, and the beginning of your field placement process, will be based upon the date we receive your admission deposit." On webCentral there is a tab for groups then you must send a request to join the group. Nick Ota-Wang will then approve it and you have access to explore topics including housing available off campus that has been posted by others, when orientation is, look at pictures of GSSW, etc. Financial Aid information and offers is not sent out until March, at least this is what I was told by phone by Nick Ota-Wang. Don't forget to file your FASFA by Feb. 15th!

I was also accepted! I applied late last year and was waitlisted so I am thrilled to finally be going this year I live in Boulder which is 30 min outside of Denver. If anyone has any questions about Colorado or DU feel free to ask. Congratulations to all!
