just got into nyu i guess not receiving the email on friday didn't hurt me too much. ah so excited!!

definitely keep us updated on what the financial office says! also, does anyone know if mgh typically has an open house for accepted students?

i doubt it's bad news because nobody has received calls yet! they probably just realized that putting the info online is more efficient. do we think the decision will be up at midnight?

i got the mgh email as well. that's quite nervewracking. also considering they did not give us a specific time! midnight?? hahah

just got a call from emerson! JackiefromNU, my application was processed around january 10th. but when i just spoke to the graduate admissions director, he told me that they're still making a lot of decisions and haven't finished going through all the applications, so don't worry! he also was chatting for almost 10 minutes, so i'm sure it's taking him quite a while to get through all the phone calls!

anyone else still not heard? i wonder if this means waitlist :/

there was an acceptance today! haha. keeping a very close eye on my email inbox...

for financial aid, the application deadlines are different depending on the school, right? i've just gotten caught up in so many things with school that I completely forgot about this. I think most of the programs I applied to don't have a deadline until april 1st (so after I find out my decision), but I just want to make sure I'm sending the fafsa where it needs to go in time! don't want to get shut out of financial aid!

looks like more rejections came out today. still waiting...(not so patiently hahaha)

Hahah the nyu situation is starting to become quite frustrating. I'm also hoping no news is good news? I'd say maybe they're mailing acceptances except that one person was accepted through email. So strange.

did one of you mention that you did the suny new paltz online post bac program? If so, I have some questions about it! let me know!

they explained to us at the interview that some people's applications got stuck in csdcas and they couldn't access them in time to make decisions about the oncampus interviews. so that's probably what happened, it shouldn't put you at a disadvantage at all!

hahahah same. i really dont get how nyu is doing their decision notifications. it seems so random that they send a couple out each day. and i don't think it's rolling bc i submitted my app the first week of december and people who have been notified submitted in january. so strange!

i kind of got the feeling that they pretty much had already made their decisions and the interviews were just to double check (i.e. if someone they wanted to accept ended up being extremely hard to relate to and awkward in person or if someone they were leaning against ended up being really great and enthusiastic/warm, etc.). i'm just not sure how much else they could get out of a 10 minute interview! but i guess we will see..

it's interesting that you all bring up Utah State's online courses, because my BU interviewers actually suggested that I look into that, haha! (i'm out of field). seems like a good option!

i'm always so tempted to call and then im like nope...just have to be patient haha

has anyone heard from nyu? seems like people on the boards are finding out (both acceptances and rejections), but I have yet to hear anything. oy.

i just checked and the snow isn't supposed to start until saturday night so i think you'll be fine for your interview! getting out of boston might be more of an issue though.

oh jeez i'm going to be completely unprepared if they ask these types of questions. Though hopefully they won't for me because i'm out of field?? fingers crossed!
