Hi Everyone, I am wondering if someone can give me a bit of advice about where to live. I have no interest in living in a building crowded with noisy and partying undergraduates. I have a cat- and I do not mind driving if it is safer to live outside the city. Crime seems pretty high right around campus. So should I rule living near there out? Other than the previous advice to not rent beyond third street- I am wondering if that means north/south/east or west of it? Is it possible to park on campus? I read some of the rules about securing a parking permit and parking in the commuter section- but it looks pretty small. So this is important if I want to live not within walking distance. Any advice would be great, Thanks!
  2. Hi, To the person who got accepted to Michigan State University: are you archaeology, biological, cultural? Thanks!
  3. SweetPearl16, That is nice of them! Congrats. That is a great program for that area of interest.
  4. Sweetpearl16, Congrats! Was it a generic acceptance e-mail? Who do you want to work with?
  5. I noticed two acceptances for University of South Carolina. If either of you are reading the board what subdisciplines did you apply for?
  6. Sweetpearl16, Interesting. Well I hope you make it in. And me too And yes the holiday weekend is a killer.
  7. Sweetpearl16, II would not expect a response from them until March since applications were only just received on February 1st I would think that we would hear something in March from them as many schools who had apps due in December and January are just now sending our their acceptances and rejections.
  8. Sweetpearl16, Yes I applied there as well although for biological anthropology. I checked my status but it has not changed. Hopefully that is a good sign for you!
  9. Hi Anthrogeek- Yikes! That poor professor. I would be super uncomfortable if a student did that to me.
  10. Thanks AnthroGeek. I saw the results board on for ASU but wanted to double check to see if anyone had heard anything. That is funny about MSU's professors. Appreciate the response!
  11. Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum. I have been monitoring the results page for weeks now. Wondering if anyone has heard back from ASU, OSU or MSU for their biological anthropology? ASU specifically bioarchaeology. Just submitted materials for University of South Carolina, East Carolina (masters) and UNLV which means I have a while to wait for those. Thanks!
