Yup that is exactly my reasons for not applying to PhD programs and then my GRE scores reinforced that decision. I am from Ohio so I applied to Ohio State (my undergrad university) John Carroll University, Cleveland State, University of Cincinnati, and out of state was Loyola Chicago, U of Florida and Tufts. Kind of a lot but applying wasn't too bad. I just interviewed with John Carroll on Friday (think it well), interviewing with Loyola this friday and Cinci later this month. I think all the schools I applied to require interviews before admission.
But I am anxious for OSU because I would love to stay here. Still haven't heard anything and the app deadline was December 1st, as well with Florida. Also, I was just looking at the NASP website and they have a new section with all the stats from different schools and saw Loyola had 96 applicants last year which is a lot!! So really nervous about that interview!! Glad I can rant to someone in my same situation though I don't know anyone applying to school psych programs in general
