On a related note (sorry about the pseudo-thread jacking), how many phd students does Harvard Biostats accept each year? This information has been rather hard to ascertain from the website. -
My research adviser/professor would certainly agree with that statement haha

It seems like the same people are getting asked to go to the same interview sessions (Biostats: Harvard - Emory - Hopkins - Seattle). So for all of you holding on to hope for waitlist spots, my thoughts are that as long as you guys were not outright rejected, there is always a chance.
