Hello all, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum, but I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've been accepted to a PhD program at UCI but have been wait-listed for funding. I asked the graduate coordinator about my chances of getting funding, and they replied that no decisions have been made yet and that they will contact me once they reach a decision. I got this email on 3/5 and UCI's deadline to accept is April 1st. Since the deadline is quickly approaching, my question is how can I ask if a decision has been made and convey my desire to attend (which is, of course, contingent on some form of funding) without coming off as pushy/impatient? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! No, I mostly applied on the west coast, so my top choices are between Columbia, UCLA, U of W, and UCI. Best of luck to you

Hi everyone, I got into: UC Irvine (PhD, no mention of funding yet) UCLA (MA, just got the notice today, no mention of funding) University of Illinois (MA, no funding) UT at Austin (MA, no mention of funding yet). I also got rejected for MA at Michigan. Is it normal to not hear back about funding options yet? I'm straight out of undergrad, so I'm still kind of clueless about grad funding, though I did do my FAFSA already. Congrats to everyone else! My concentration is Korean Studies, so I hope there are other Koreanists out there haha. We're a small bunch, huh...
