SIU Carbondale is up and coming! Their printmaking and metalsmith departments have great reputations, and they have pretty good funding, too.

Hi there, no I didn't interview! I heard that sometimes they interview, sometimes not... but I figure at this point I didn't get in. Maybe I'll email them to confirm.

Yes, go for the money!!! I got into Univ of Chicago a few years back & declined because they offered me no funding. This year I got into SIU Carbondale with a full tuition waiver and TA + stipend, and I'm so glad I waited.

Hey Y'all -- When you get an email acceptance from a school, do you reply to say "thanks" or to acknowledge receipt of email, even if you're not quite ready to commit? Or do you wait to be in contact until you make your final choice? [Just accepted to Southern Ill Univ @ Carbondale, full ride + stipend!]
