I have a dog, so that knocks me out of the single housing. Not married. Knocks me out of the family housing. Are they any other options, does anyone know, for seminarians at Princeton? I would really like to avoid selling plasma to pay for housing. PM's welcome.

Does anyone know anything about the combination program at Princeton? Or overall does an MDiv/MSW prepare you for humanitarian work more than just one or the other? I'm interesting in doing a dual degree but can't decide.

I applied to Union for their MDiv (which I was advised to do because, apparently, from these academically top schools, the three year degree is more competitive). I think it's a fantastic program, but beware the cost of living- although I got a full grant, the other costs and fees would have been covered by a substantial loan. For that reason I chose a school with an endowment, unaffected by our lousy financial market. Living in NYC comes with it's price tag, and I just can't afford increased student debt.

I'm a convert to Orthodoxy of sorts, was baptized but never really raised in it as my mother is Lebanese and father German. Coming back to my roots has been a wonderful experience. I think you'll like it, especially studying religions, since it's the original Christian practice and is closely akin to Jewish practice. Are you considering it intellectually or have you begun to dive into the traditions?

I've decided on Princeton Theological for the fall and was wondering if anyone had any experiences there, finding housing and travelling with the seminary?
