On Monday of this week. I inquired about the invitation that had been sent, and the response I got was that they had started rolling out a few of them but would send out the rest "early" this week. Is Wednesday still considered early?

Hopkins is finalizing interview invitations "early" this week.

Does this mean acceptance into a PhD program in a couple years is out of the question (assuming I did well in everything else)? If not, what can I do to make myself a competitive applicant down the line?
