  1. Thanks for the info, super handy!
  2. I just spoke with the co-director, there are super awesome payment plans with 4,5, or 6 months spreads! I received a ton of aid but will need to use a plan to pay off my balance. I am so very poor.

  6. Let's hope it's for the fall! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
  7. Hi Chan! Are you interested in a art and technology program (combining your engineering and art backgrounds)? If so you may want to do some research into the programs at MIT, RPI, ITP at New York University, and AMT at Parsons.
  8. I haven't received an email yet. can someone tell me when they were notified? rejections suck but at least we can write off the application fees on our taxes!
  9. Thanks lady rainicorn! There was no change on the portal - I hope your friend gets in!
  10. I was pretty certain about Columbia for a while but I've been second guessing myself - to be honest I'm not totally sure. -Also does anyone know when we'll be getting financial info?
  11. Just received an email from Hunter, I'm in! Wooot and good luck everyone!
  12. I'd call the financial aid office and ask if you can get an increase in federal/institutional funding. If you received an acceptance call from a faculty member, give them a call as well. Also try to mention if you've gotten aid packages from other programs you've applied too. No need to be coy - they know what's up. nahum: I think we'll hear something by the end of the next week - maybe earlier
  13. GoFightWinAgain: Just called the Visual Arts office, faculty(?) are having a meeting this week and we'll know if there are any increases in institutional aid by the end of the week.
  14. Yes, I think It'll be a great fit. As for financials, I'll know something more definite next week but right now THEY ARE KILLING ME.
  15. Congrats kwonberry and Erpnope, UCLA is lucky to have you! To ptsd: it's the Foundation Center, they have locations in cities across the US - access is free at their physical locations. I also found this database from Duke: https://researchfunding.duke.edu/. I'd also check your public library for scholarship and grant resource books. ***Erpnope started the thread MFA Outside Funding Resource List - I'll be this kind of info there from now on.
  16. Found this grant, fellowship, and scholarship database: https://researchfunding.duke.edu/
  17. I'm going to the Foundation Center sometime this week to check out their grant and scholarship database. This is the organization that puts out those huge grant resource books. They have locations around the US you can visit for free and search their database with the help of their librarians. - Check out the website and find a location near you. I'll post what I find, here's what I have now: Worldstudio Scholarship: Due March 29th Artists of color / $2,000 - $5,000 http://scholarships.worldstudioinc.com/ Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Arts Awards: Due November (apply next year?) Artists from low income backgrounds / up to $50,000 award http://www.jkcf.org/scholarships/graduate-scholarships/graduate-arts-award/
