Just a reminder that today is a federal holiday, so my guess is that we probably won't hear from universities today as most would be closed!
-
I don't know if this helps, but Germany has a holiday today (because of Easter) so likely no word from them until Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest.

You still have DAAD! Squeezing my thumbs for you
-
Full to Germany!!! Congrats to everyone
-
I wonder why Germany is not included with the other Europe/Euroasian countries, but with South Asia - anybody know?
-
Haha sneaky, sneaky...

do it do it do it I'm too chicken to do it

Congrats UK fulbrighters! Anon, best wishes

From what I've heard, within Germany it's pretty prestigious. So you if you plan on staying in Germany or maintaining a close connection with Germany, it's a fantastic alternative to the Fulbright. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much international recognition though.
-
it's the same for me as well (waiting for both, I mean). in recent years both the fulbright and daad had sent out their emails earlier... bleh.
-
Yep I was hopeful about today too since that's been the trend. Alas another day...
-
Nice! I've only been to Leipzig once, but I remember that they have animal foot prints leading up to the soon. it's quite cute

Congrats, that's awesome!! Through which program have you decided to do the intensive language course?

I'm thinking that tomorrow or the first monday in march (3/4) are nice "round" dates for decisions. (You know how orgs love "round" dates like the first of the month, the 15th, the first monday of the month, etc...)

I think I had looked into AIESEC as well for internships during the summer in the event I got a fellowship, but was eventually deterred because you have to pay a fee for them to take your application. May have been another org, but I'm pretty sure it was AIESEC...

Apparently, DAAD has a very good reputation in Germany and so would a good alternative to the Fulbright. (Of course, we're all going to get it though! o_O) Yeah, I haven't heard anything after they confirmed they had all of my materials. Last year the applicants received the final decision march 2nd! Not sure if that's the general trend or last year was a fluke year and they were super early... Either way the long wait for both is excruciating.

Did those of you who applied for a full grant to Germany also apply for the DAAD study scholarship?
-
Right there with you. Not sure if obsessively checking the forum is helping or just making me that much more anxious. Quite the trend we have here
-
Yep, got the same email. Last year they sent out notifications first week of march; wonder if they'll be early this year too... Ich dir auch!
-
Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking. Although that makes me all the more anxious. Going for full - what about you? Liuglksidhfglkjhsfd so good. You should try them refrigerated
-
Has anyone heard any updates for the 2013/2014 notifctions?
-
Congratulations to our new fulbrighters! That's fantastic I feel the same... I wonder if Germany will also notify their applicants earlier (ie soon) since emails usually go out early/mid March..........

Hi there, I know it's a bit after the fact but the Hartnackschule in Berlin looks really promising and I was wondering if you knew of any other language schools similar to that in other cities?
