I sent another e-mail to the DGS at UIC and she unofficially rejected me, so i am sure if you email you will get a response!

I am still waiting on UIC, but as I far as I know few people have heard. I emailed the DGS during the first week of march, and she said they were still in the middle of the process. When is it appropriate to ask again? I really am getting worried as I am going to have to commit to another offer fairly soon.

I know that University of Memphis fully funds many of their MAs.

I was just about to say, I am possibly heading to South Carolina. It's rankings are not the best, but in Southern/African American history there is an almost 100% placement rate. Don't judge solely on rankings.

I applied to the MA program at USC with a research interest in early-mid 20th African American Urban and Educational History. Over the course of the last few months, I have become increasingly interested in earlier (18th and 19th) African American Urban History in the south (specifically in New Orleans). This is something the department could definitely support, and probably better than my original interest, but I may want to work with a few different people. Is this possible? I know one of the benefits of the MA is flexibility, and it's not like my change is something super drastic like going from 20th Century American to medieval europe. Any advice is welcome

I decided to e-mail the DGS at both Temple and UIC because I know other people had heard and honestly just want to know when I will will find out. I got an e-mail back from UIC saying they are still in the middle of the process, so it looks like they send admittances/rejections out as they come and not at the same time, for anyone waiting. I haven't heard back from the DGS at Temple, so I am now compulsively checking my e-mail. Oh and I got waitlisted for the MA program at UNC Charlotte, which I don't know how to feel about/whether it's likely they will take me off the list.

I also applied to UIC, and have heard nothing so I am doubtful that they have started sending things out, but maybe if there is a waitlist up on the board? I still haven't heard from Temple, would it be rude to inquire with the DGS as I know people have started getting notifications and I am assuming I will get bad news?

I am still waiting on Temple too! If anyone accepted has more knowledge, and if any one knows if I should give up, let me know!

Has anybody heard from Temple or UIC? I got my first acceptance, which is a huge relief, but I am still nervously anticipating these.
