  1. It's such an early deadline! Have you reached a decision? I've decided to decline their offer in favor of East Stroudsburg.
  2. I've decided to decline William Paterson's offer and will be emailing them on Monday. Hopefully that will help someone here!!!
  3. @ Greyhound - WPU - That's what I'm thinking as well. Hopefully you will be in the next round! ESU - It's interesting that they haven't sent any rejections yet! I'm pretty sure I will be accepting their offer. I'm going to the Accepted Students Day on March 28th to learn more. SHU - Thanks for that link! It makes sense now that it's taking so long but I still have pretty much given up on them.
  4. That's what I'm assuming for WPU as well. That's such an early deadline though. It's hard to make an informed decision! I'm really leaning towards ESU but I'm still debating. For SHU, that's so late! Last year notifications were sent out in the beginning of March. Oh well, it's the most expensive school so if I don't go there it will be okay haha. Thank you for that information!
  5. I got an email. My portal status is still "Complete ready for review."
  6. Are you talking about William Paterson? I'm facing the same dilemma with them.
  7. I have heard from William Paterson and East Stroudsburg! Now I have to decide between the two. William Paterson's deadline is March 24th so I have less than a week to decide! Does anyone have any thoughts about which I should choose? I'm a NJ resident but live closer to East Stroudsburg. The difference in tuition is not enough to make the decision (according to my calculations, it's actually cheaper to go to East Stroudsburg which is ridiculous!).
  8. I think they do rounds (accept some people, wait for responses, accept some people, wait). So there is still hope! Good luck!
  9. I saw from your signature that you got in! I have a quick question for you. I got an email from Dr. Magaldi on March 10th saying that I have until March 24th to make my decision about attending. But then I got an email from the Graduate School on March 14th saying that I have until April 24th to decide. Do you know which date is accurate?
  10. Sure! My application was complete with CSDCAS on December 14th. I think waited until about December 31st I believe for it to be verified and a few days after that for it to be mailed. I got an email from William Paterson on February 26th stating that they got my application and it was under review.
  11. Oh I didn't know you could do that! Thank you!!
  12. One of my schools wants my admissions deposit by March 24th. That would be fine but I still haven't heard from two of my schools. And I'm still wondering about funding. I'm confused :/
  13. Accepted to East Stroudsburg! I know that's not a NY/NJ school but it's right over the line haha. It's actually closer to my house in NJ than any of the NJ schools are!
  14. I love this thread! My name is Ellen. I'm 21 years old. I'm a senior at the University of South Florida, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Sociology and in Undergraduate Research. I'm also graduating in three years. I work as a research assistant during the school year. During breaks and the summer I juggle three jobs: cook at a bar, respite care provider, and childcare worker. I'm very interested in autism, developmental disabilities, selective mutism, and literacy. I hope to work in the school system, hopefully in middle or high school. I've been engaged since last March and am getting married on May 17th, 2 weeks after graduation. Managing applying to grad school, graduating from undergrad, and planning our wedding has been very stressful but I found out yesterday that I was accepted to my first school so I'm very happy right now! We're very similar!
  15. Thank you! When I got my application completion email it said mid-March and last year's results seem to confirm that. From the looks of the results section it seems like acceptances are sent by email and rejections are sent via mail. I haven't heard anything about this year. Sorry! They are my top choice so I'm reallyyy hoping to hear soon.
  16. I got my first acceptance today for William Paterson University! Now I just have to wait and see if other schools (East Stroudsburg!) accept me but it's great knowing that I'm going to graduate school no matter what
  17. AHHHH Congrats to you too!!!!
  18. Got my acceptance email today!!!
  19. Accepted to William Paterson University!!!
  20. Ugh me too. Someone tell us so we can stop worrying!
  21. Thank you for posting this! I was wondering why we hadn't heard yet. I got an email from them today and got super excited but then it was just an invitation to the Counseling open house. Not what I wanted! Haha Do you know whether we will get emails or a letter in the mail?
  22. I second Orange is the New Black! Love that show! Guys I'm like dying. Seton Hall told people on March 1st last year and of course that means I'm now worried I didn't get in. No one has posted about them on the Results part yet so I'm hoping they just haven't told anyone. William Paterson said they were sending out decisions this week so I have been anxiously checking my email like every hour. I just want some news!
  23. I agree with you - financially it would be excellent and I would love the experience! Very true! As long as you have your CCCs it doesn't really matter where you went, unless you go for your PhD. That's my one problem with Seton Hall. I love their program. One of their research labs seems to be a perfect fit for me. But I don't know if I can justify the price when it really doesn't matter. But oh well, no use worrying about that now since I don't even know if I've been accepted anywhere yet!
  24. Oh I'm sorry I am a CSD undergrad. I should have clarified (updating my signature now!)! It's great that they sit down with you and plan it out. That kind of individualized attention is definitely a plus for them. I feel much better about my decision to apply there Thanks! That's true - in the grand scheme of things an extra year is no big deal. Awe, thank you! I am really hoping for an assistantship.
  25. Thank you! It's good to hear that about Montclair. They were my last choice because it looks like the program is longer than the others (is that true? or is the website lying to me?) but knowing that people are happy there has changed my mind!
