Oh wow- I would assume this is good news- I highly doubt they would call you if you didn't have a chance of being accepted! But, that's just my highly un-scientific opinion. Now you've added voicemail to the list of things I must check religiously, haha. Best of luck.
Actually I am a woman... and I'm sure my husband won't mind competing for my attention with my gmail for a day I know how you feel- I haven't gotten any acceptances or rejections yet and I am getting antsy! Good luck to you also.
thanks. congrats to you on your acceptances. i thought about applying to UNC but in the end it wasn't a very good match for me. still, it seems like a great program!
haha, thanks- you are right. i am being very irrational because this is the first school (out of the the ones i've applied to) to post any acceptances or rejections, or anything at all. i'm in freak out mode and need to calm down! it does help that the people on the forums who have applied to wisc have not heard anything yet.
i just have to remain calm. maybe i should take up meditation.
ahh! wait! someone new has posted that their website status changed for wisc and they were accepted. mine still says pending now i am officially worried.
Hey all. I applied to Wisconsin too. Still no change for me- I think that person who claims to be accepted on the results page must already be a student at Wisconsin- that is really the only way I could see finding out so early. (I have a friend in an MA program at U Minn, he is applying for PhD programs in communication, and the dept. chair let him know personally that he was in a couple of weeks before the actual decisions went out.) It seems unlikely that no one else would have heard from them by now if someone got accepted on Friday under other circumstances. Aghhh. I am really hoping to get in there.
agree with you guys! i also really, really want to hear back from somewhere! northwestern contacted its acceptances last year this week so i am really nervous. i've reached the stage where i have started seriously doubting getting in anywhere. eek!
might try again next year if i am rejected. i will try to get a job at a university in my current field (development/fundraising) and maybe take a few classes to strengthen my apps. would have to re-take the GRE again. bah. i hope i don't have to!
I second the request for info from the Wisconsin acceptance...
Still waiting to hear back from them...
And my other schools as well....
Applied to Chicago, Johns Hopkins, MIT, WUSTL, UW Madison, U Minnesota.
