I saw that someone had been accepted under the results search... congratulations! I have not been in contact with anyone at Hunter so I suppose there is still a chance that I will receive official notice eventually too! Hopefully before I lose the last shred of sanity I have left!
If you guys don't mind me asking, what are your credentials? GPA and GRE scores and such? I don't have the best GPA, but everything else is pretty good. I want to know what I am up against
My application still says submitted as well! Hope that makes you feel better. I am having anxiety issues as well, haha. Only 20 days until April 1st though...
I found several schools with tuition waivers after looking at the list of "Need-blind admission" schools on Wikipedia. I personally know that Emory and Notre Dame provide a lot of support for an Art History M.A.
I will be 25 in August when I start my M.A. It took me 5 years to finish my undergrads because I was a double major. I did not apply right away to grad school because I needed to save the money before I could even consider it, to be able to move, and also I went to Europe for a while. I'm in no hurry though.
I have been struggling with the same thoughts! I just submitted my applications February 1st, but it seems like months have gone by. I am trying to stay positive. My motto is... If you are applying at all, then of course you have a good chance of getting in. We aren't in denial, we are definitely smart enough, it is just a matter of fitting into the program, and being "the chosen one." I am keeping my fingers crossed for you too.
I would not be too sure that it is a good sign. I received an email the day after I submitted an application from a secretary in the department asking for an additional transcript. It was way too soon after submitting it, so I assume no one remotely important had even seen the app yet. Sounds like standard operating procedure to me. My email seemed like they were just being courteous, and it was very similar to yours. But I like to think positive, as I am currently still waiting to hear back on mine. Good luck!
