  1. CONGRATS! I remember when you got waitlisted last year (I've been lurking on this forum for waaaay too long...) and I felt so awful for you! You definitely deserve the acceptance.
  2. Thank you! Dal just emailed me. My UApply status still says in review.
  3. Thank you! My first choice is Alberta; it's close to home (I'm from BC), the SLPs I've volunteered with think very highly of it, and all the current or past students I've talked to love it! Thank you! I didn't post there this afternoon, but I can share my GPA anyway . My sGPA is 3.92 and my cGPA is 3.90.
  4. Congrats to everyone who has been getting acceptances today! I just got one from McGill and Dal!
  5. Thank you! I hope you're right! I can't wait to find out for sure.
  6. Nothing has changed on My UApply account. They left a message and it didn't say whether or not I had been accepted, so I'm really anxious to find out! As far as I can tell, no one here has mentioned being notified of rejection yet, so I'm tentatively assuming I've been accepted. We'll see, though!
  7. I got a call from McGill today too, but I was in class so I couldn't answer it! As soon as I finished class I called them right back, but I had to leave a message. The suspense is killing me now!
  8. I just got an acceptance letter a few days ago (woooh!!!) and my quant score was 146. I truly thought I was going to have to retake it, and I was terrified, because I studied hard for 4 months and still got that awful score! I did tons of practice tests and I the best I ever got was 50%! My qualitative reasoning score was 164, though, and my AW was 4.5. I think it ended up balancing out; I would have been a lot more worried if I hadn't done fairly well on the other parts of the test.
  9. Congrats!! I'm so happy for you. I guess this means we'll be classmates, too!
  10. I'd be happy to share my stats with anyone who wants them, too! Just send me a PM
  11. I just got an acceptance email from U of A too! I'm beyond thrilled! Congrats to everyone else who was accepted and good luck to everyone else who is still waiting!
  12. Here is a breakdown of Alberta's fees from last year! https://rehabilitation.ualberta.ca/-/media/rehabilitation/faculty-site/departments/csd/documents/graduatestudenthandbook/mscslp2014-2015fees.pdf
  13. Where are you able to see your calculated GPA on ORPAS?
  14. I'm applying without an honours degree. I wanted to focus on my GPA and volunteering. Plus, at my university, doing an honours degree takes longer, and I just want to get onto SLP as soon as I can!
  15. My Dal application says that nothing by the application fee, transcripts and reference letters have been received. I sent my GRE scores in August, so I know they DEFINITELY will have gotten them by now. EDIT: I just realized that at the top of the application summary page, it says, "The Received field indicates whether or not a requirement has been met/document received. This information may not always be updated for Dentistry, Law and Graduate programs."
  16. My application status for the University of Alberta still says some items are pending, and it says that for ALL of my items!! My referees have all received confirmation that their letters were received, and my transcripts say they're at the destination. So worried...
  17. Thanks! I'm glad to know it's not just me. For everyone who is having issues with outstanding references on ORPAS, I'm having the same issue! I feel a bit better knowing they're lenient, but I'm definitely a little worried too .
  18. For people who are applying to Alberta and have already submitted their application, if you go to Bear Tracks, does it say your application requires action? Mine does, and when I look at the "to do" list, it has my transcripts and reference letters listed. I know for sure my reference letters have been submitted, and I'm pretty sure my transcripts have arrived. It does say on their website that they need your official transcripts even if it's after the application deadline, but the deadline hasn't even passed yet! I'm confused.
  19. Thanks! I'll try not to worry about it too much. I just have to remember that I have as good a chance as anyone else
  20. Is anyone else feeling a little bit pessimistic about their applications? I've been reading this forum for years, knowing that someday it would be me going through all the anxiety of applying to grad schools, and it seems like very few people get in on their first try. I feel like I have a strong application, but I still can't help but think, "Why would I get in on my first try if so many other amazing students haven't?" It's hard to be optimistic about it!
  21. Thanks! It seems like that's what I'll have to do. It feels so old school compared to ORPAS and McGill
