  1. I was accepted to GWU and they offered to pay for half of tuition. I think I'm gonna pass on it and go to Georgetown MSFS. I meet a few MSFS students this week, and when I asked them about what other schools they had been accepted to, they all said GWU. Also, all of them had gotten partial or full funding, but passed on it to come to MSFS. My deadline to accept or decline GWU is April 20th, which is a Saturday. I imagine it is the same deadline for all of those who got fundng. So, if I were you, I would call and follow up on aid on the 22nd of April. Considering there were quite a few people that are now at Georgetown that had fellowship offers from GWU, I think some funding will open up. I think I'm passing on mine.
  2. The other SAIS Bologna thread was definetely out of control. I've been accepted to SAIS Bologna, Georgetown and GWU. I'll be attending SAIS's open house in DC tomorrow, Georgetown's on Thursday, GWU's on Friday, and SAIS Bologna's next Monday. I'm in between SAIS Bologna and Georgetown. I've spoken with a few MSFS students and have gone to the campus. Their job placement program is crazy good and they are really good in matching people with interships. It seems to be expensive as well, but it seems it will be like that everywhere. In all honesty, I'm leaning towards Georgetown. One of the pros I see about GT is the contacts, but I guess thise would probably be more important if you live in the U.S. I have the impression that SAIS Bologna seems to be better for establishing contacts if you live in Europe. I've been to Italy and love it. I cannot make a decision without going to the open house, and seeing and speaking with SAIS Bologna professors, staff and students.
  3. I want to work for an NGO, think-thank or congressional research office. I will like to be involved in the designing foreign policy, while also having a strong knowledge of economics. When I applied to GT I applied for the MSFS and MPP dual degree program. I got into MSFS, but I haven't heard about the MPP. The deadline for MPP was on the 1st of April, so I might not get the results for a while. However, I need to accept or decline GW and SAIS by April 20. Other strong research interests are about democratization, Eastern European politics and the Arab Spring. I checked the forum, but I did not find a thread that compare GWU, GT and SAIS.
  4. I've been admitted to GT MSFS, SAIS Bologna (1 yo Bologna, 1 yo DC) and GW Elliott. Rejected from American SIS, but whatever! My top choices are MSFS and SAIS, but they offered no funding. GW Elliott offered to pay half of my tuition, so they are still in the run. Is it worth it to pass a half-free ride in GW Elliott to go to MSFS and SAIS Bologna? Also, if you have any inputs on how GW, SAIS and MSFS compare please let me know. Thanks!
