There are around 200 schools offering the MFA, most in the top 100 are pretty decent and the USNEWS ranking is fickle at best. Alignment of direction. philosophy, expectations, career goals to the school mission is MOST important. Many overlook great schools and only consider a "sacred" few that treat most students like cannon fodder. -
