  1. Yes I did but the financial aid offer was from the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering (basically a 1/2 time TA).
  2. Thank you for your reply. Wow thats nice. My undergrad major is electronic engineering so I am definitely more comfy with the hardware side of things. So is the robotics program more hardware oriented? To be honest, I did not like the fact that most schools in the US deal with robotics primarily through computing and CS (I mean theoretical aspects like OS, kernals etc etc, programming I am quite happy with) is well out of my comfort zone. I thought so from the reading the course descriptions but I dont really know more than the website tells me. Anyways, thanks for your input. I have made up my mind to join Georgia Tech in the fall.
  3. Thank you. I think I may live on campus for the first year and once I am used to the area move to an off campus apartment.
  4. Have a look at: http://robotics.gatech.edu/. This houses all of Georgia Tech's robotics efforts. Hope that helps.
  5. Its getting more and more likely that I am heading to Georgia Tech for the PhD Robotics program in fall 2013. Anyone else here heading to tech? What are people doing for housing?
  6. I know this is an old topic but I am considering going to Tech for the PhD robotics program. How are you guys finding it there?
  7. I have been admitted to the PhD Robotics program through the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech. I want to specialize in Controls, Perception and AI. Has anyone in this forum been a part of this program or provide an insight about the quality of the program in comparison to other top schools?
