Anyone have any experience in interacting with admissions while being on the waitlist? A few weeks ago I learned I was on the waitlist and I wrote a short email just saying that I am still very interested in the program etc. I haven't heard anything at this point, and I feel that I should maybe try to contact them again. I'm not really sure what to say. Something along the lines of "I'm considering other schools (and their deadlines), but I really want to study here. At this point, is there any chance of admittance?" Additionally, I'm wondering if I should check out the university (and city) on my own. It's a 3 hour drive, but I don't want to get an offer on April 13 and have to decide without having actually visited the place. I guess I'm conflicted because I'm not sure if it will help my chances or just be an annoyance. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Anyone know if Indiana University has sent out all their decisions for chem? I emailed admissions and was only told that my app is still with the committee. Not sure if Im waitlisted or just in between decision rounds. Plus there only seems to be a few decisions in the results search. Thanks
