I notice some people upload where they're applying to their signatures and then remove them later.. any idea why? Should I really care that people *could* find out who I am and where I'm applying?

  It's a personal choice. I think anyone who wanted to could probably figure out who I am. I'm not saying anything here I wouldn't say publicly. If you aren't terribly worried about being identified and how it might impact your online presence, do what you want.

Question, as grad students do you look for professors who are "easy" or more challenging to get more "bang for your buck"?

  I look for those I'll learn the most from because that will better prepare me for when I look for academic positions of my own. If I don't know the material as well but I get an A, to me the trade-off isn't worth it.
