I went to FIU for the Certificate program in Speech Pathology. I liked it a lot, they do like bilingual applicants since it's a bilingual program, and also they have great professors as well as not so great ones, like in any other school. They don't have a speech clinic of their own, so students are placed in internships with either professors or in other venues. The good thing is that the professors are very helpful and a lot of them have their own practices. They also don't require the GRE, which is a plus!
If you're interested in Miami, you might want to check out Nova, they also have a Speech Path program, and they also don't require the GRE. I don't know as much about them, but people interested in staying in Miami often apply to both Nova and FIU.
