  1. Oops, the link didn't work. I think you can just search for "Montclair Wess" then "Course Section Search"
  2. The Fall schedule is up, you can click on "Course Section Search." https://wfs.montclair.edu/ahomepg.htm
  3. That's a great point about graduating in December, but to be honest I really don't know =/ Sorry!
  4. Classes are 2 and a half hours a week and so far all of mine have been during the business day. This is usually once a week, but last semester we had two classes that were twice a week for an hour and fifteen minutes instead. Last semester I had 5 classes and this worked out to class being Mondays- Thursdays (2 classes per day except for one on Wednesdays). This semester we have 4 classes and are in class 3 days per week (If you're really interested in specific class times or something, let me know). Half of our group has started clinic in addition to classes this semester while the other half will start clinic in May. Clinic schedule varies from person to person. This has been my schedule with an undergrad degree in speech, so I'm not exactly sure how it differs if you have an extra semester with pre-requisites. There is a lot of work done outside of class such as studying, clinic observations, group meetings, etc. Classes are already set up for you when you meet with them in June, telling you exactly which classes you will be taking each semester and which semesters you will have clinic. You take the same classes as the rest of your cohort. So there is not much flexibility, but I have found that having a cohort is a very big plus. They have also split us up once or twice, offering two sections of one class at two different times but this is rare. For the most part you have all your classes with the same people and there is one section of a class offered. They recommend you do not have a job during school, but I'm sure you've heard that already. People do have part time jobs, but flexible ones (babysitting, subbing, etc.). A lot of people decide they cannot work anymore once classes + clinic start. During this coming summer I think many people will work because we will have clinic but no classes. I hope this helps!
  5. Happy to see all the buzz about Montclair's program, congrats to everyone! I'm in my second semester at Montclair and this was the exact thing that I was wondering about last year. It's a cohort-based program, so even with a speech background it'll still take the 2.5 years. This means you'll get 3 on-site clinic semesters as well as two semesters of off-site externships. If you have any questions let me know =)
  6. NJ probably isn't ideal for you geographically, but Richard Stockton College has a fairly new program and Monmouth University is just starting theirs.
  7. I'm planning on commuting for at least a couple semesters!
  8. Montclair is trying to set up something on Monday for accepted students. I believe the reason we may have experienced some difficulty with visiting has to do with the fact that they have clients in the facility, but that's just my guess. I was not very sure about my decision at first, but after visiting I feel very excited that I will likely attend in the fall! I'm pretty sure the letter said the deposit is due April 16th if that helps, although it is definitely short notice to make such a big decision!
  9. In case anyone is waiting on Kean, they said the letters went out on Thursday or Friday
  10. Mine says "Decision Letter by Mail." They made it seem like they were doing their decisions at once though so yours will probably change soon. I had my phone interview with them on 3/14.
  11. Haven't heard anything yet either, although the website says "decision made." Last I heard they said decisions would be out the first week of April so it will probably come in the mail any day now.
  12. It does seem likely that they are closed. During the application process, they were very easy for me to get in touch with. However, I called a couple times today with no response and my e-mail from last week has not been answered yet.
  13. Does anyone know how long Montclair's program is and how many credits they require? I have only been able to find a range of credits required on the website.
  14. I'm not sure how they are doing their notification process in general, but I received a phone call on 3/21. I just got my official letter today in the mail and the deposit is due on April 5th. I hope you get good news soon!
  15. Yea I would really like to stay in NJ. Monmouth's program is new and its original start date was in May, however with the accreditation status they had to push it back. Their program director said that ASHA will meet in July about their accreditation status and they are still optimistic about starting their program in the fall. She also said they're having an open house on April 13th. Hope this helps!
  16. I am also frustrated by Montclair's late application deadline/notification! The deposit to Seton Hall is apparently due April 5th so I'm hesitant to put that down before hearing from Montclair and a couple others. Did you hear from them that they would notify in Mid April or is that what you're guessing based on their March 1st deadline?
  17. Declining my offer to Emerson, hope this helps someone!
