  1. Alright guys, admissions people arent the nicest and i was hoping someone could help me out. I havent received ANY notification from CSULB or LA since I turned in my application. LB 2/6 and LA 1/15... No email saying pending to csulb or anything whatsoever... can anyone speculate what that means? Have they maybe not gotten to my app yet?..
  2. im glad that whole kiss of death thing is still being used lol. good luck guys!
  3. when did you apply to csula?
  4. @lucyy19 I submitted my app on the deadline,Jan 15th. and thanks @mswforlife good luck with ucla!
  5. Id say so yea. Im pretty sure the email is the kiss of death.
  6. I got an automated email around 3am -__- I hope you dont get an email! If you get one... its implied you didnt get in.. the email gave me a link to the admissions status website, that i signed into and then it told me to click on the letter that said "sorry we cannot give you admission at this time".. my first thought was, " man i wish id have my application fee back so I can pay for my USC deposit.."
  7. Congratulations to you guys that were admitted! I received my denial by email... But the good news is is that Im still waiting for CSULA, CSULB and ive been admitted to USC.. so thats good! Congrats again guys!
  8. Hey @Ardnas058, if you go to that link about admissions status, does it say youve been accepted?
  9. Congratulations!
  10. GAH. Every passing day I don't know is torture... As soon as I receive anything Ill let you guys know and I hope you'll do the same!
  11. Public transit isn't that bad in LA. The metro buses and trains are pretty good..they run at decent times( from am to pm) and quite frequently compared to caltrain or Bart. The only thing is, the area isn't too great around UCLA - and your placement might be far from where you work and live. Your placement may also require you to leave in the middle of you workday or just require you to have full control over your transportation means so you can get to and fro ASAP. Basically... Bringing a car from the bay to la might be the best option.
  12. Well that's great.. I guess.. Now I'm just going to go to that link 5 times a day till next Friday but thanks for the link! And remember they're only accepting 100 people. They keep their cohort small.. They have a small waitlist I believe..
  13. Wait... Letter OR email?....
  14. Nothing new? Trying to keep this thread relevant..
  15. Yea I applied in time for jan 15th and the officer admin said May
  16. When I called ( last Friday) he said they were days away from finishing reading the apps. And them a couple days to process and mail things out.
  17. Hopefully by next Friday.. Solidarity my friend!
  18. A woman at csula, rather rudely I might add, told me that I wouldn't hear back until May... I graduate May 3rd
  19. Hey guys, can someone call UCLA and ask if they're going to be sending out admissions notices by email or by letters?
  20. Were you accepted by mail or email? I'm still waiting on them :/ (csula)
  21. Hey guys I have a little favor to ask of one of you.. Can someone call UCLA and ask if they're going to be sending out admissions notices by email or by letters? I may have bothered lance too much but really want to know the answer to this question.. This week could be the week!
  22. Turn up the anxiety guys because I have some knowledge to drop about UCLA. Just got off the phone with Lance and after a couple of questions... he told me that of the 550 applicants that applied for an MSW, theyre almost done reviewing everyone and almost every admissions decision should be out in 10-15 days... Applied: USC, UCLA, CSULA, CSULB Accepted: USC (4/10) Denied: Going:
  23. Its almost March! Lets hope some of us hear from UCLA and other CSUs soon... Anxiety is gonna kill me!
  24. When did you apply?
  25. hmm... thanks for the perspective! Where else did you apply?
