  1. I know that this comment wasn't for me, but I was just wondering whether it is a good idea to contact U of T to reiterate an interest in the program? I always thought that it was better to not bother them as they're really busy with admissions right now... but do you know from experience if they actually prefer waitlisted individuals to send an email to let the admissions committee know that they're still interested? I'd really appreciate some guidance for whether or not it's a good idea to contact them, as I've never done that before!
  2. I have been checking my UWindsor account every day, hoping that my status would change! lol, and I guess I was just wondering if it was useless to keep doing that-- but it is good to know that they're sending out acceptances more often now! & it's totally understandable that you'd still check your UWindsor account even if you don't plan on going there! lol I know I would do the same thing in your shoes!
  3. Does anyone know when Windsor will send out the next round of offers? I think someone previously posted that they send out offers of admission every 2 weeks! I keep checking my UWindsor, but my status hasn't changed-- still says "Referred to department."
  4. I'm in the exact same position as you-- on the waitlist for both Windsor and U of T. I can definitely relate to the stress of being in this position. At least we should know by the end of June whether or not we'll be accepted to Windsor (which is better than U of T's waitlist, which goes till September!!). Let's hope that things work out for the best for all of us on the waitlist.
  5. That's really helpful to know-- thanks! I had no idea they already sent out that many rejections. Well, hopefully they send out the next round of admissions soon! I'm finding it very tough to not know what's going to happen in September for me in terms of where I'll be moving, depending on if I get accepted into an msw program or not.
  6. I am also still waitlisted at Windsor. I am wondering how many people they put on the waitlist... do you think that they actually sent out "rejections" to anyone, or do you think that they only have sent out acceptances, and everyone else is on the "wait list" by default? I am just starting to wonder about that now because I don't think I've heard of anyone getting rejected yet, only acceptances.
  7. Congratulations! How did you find out you were accepted (email, or snail mail)?
  8. Wow!! I'm so glad to hear that you got in!! I remember when you wrote on this forum telling us that you got wait-listed at York & I commented saying that I'm surprised, as you have so much experience! Anyway, I'm glad to hear that it all worked out for you and that you got in!!
  9. lol, well that's disappointing. It would save us so much stress if we knew what our chance was!
  10. That's very helpful to know. Thanks for posting about this! That is a huge wait list though... Does anyone know whether Windsor is willing to let us know where we rank on the wait list so that we can get an idea of our chances of receiving an offer of admission?
  11. I'm in the same situation as you-- if I were to get accepted, I'd want to wait to see if the wait list at U of T moves! It'd be tough to move to a new city & have to pay for living expenses, so I think U of T would be my top choice! I just checked my status on my UWindsor and it hasn't changed-- it still says Referred to department.
  12. I applied to Windsor and plan on attending if I get accepted (I received a rejection from York, and am wait-listed at U of T). I have not heard back from them yet though. Are you planning on attending there as well if you get accepted?
  13. Wow that is amazing experience!! I am honestly surprised that you are waitlisted at both York and U of T. You seem like a very well-rounded candidate with experience in a variety of settings with people of all ages.
  14. Edited: Mine just changed to "Reviewed- Unsuccessful"
  15. Please let us know what they tell you if you end up calling them! By looking at the acceptances/rejections from previous years at Windsor in the "Results Search", I see that April-May is when we should start hearing back from them.
  16. I find that I'm in the same boat as you-- at first I thought I only wanted an MA psych degree, but now I'm realizing that an MSW degree can probably provide more job opportunities. Thanks for your reply & I hope you get into your preferred MSW program!
  17. Thanks!! Yea, I was told that 149 people applied and they were interviewing 30 for that MA Counselling Program. It seems like you're a really good fit for the program since you have interests in common with the faculty there. I wish you luck in getting off the waitlist for U of T as well! I'm just curious, how come you'd prefer U of T's MSW program over a Counselling program?
  18. Congrats for getting accepted to the Western MA counselling psychology program. I actually had an interview there, and I was devastated when I found out I wasn't accepted. I'm just wondering what kind of work/volunteer experience you have since you got accepted into that program (if you don't mind sharing)? I'm now on the wait-list for the 2-year MSW program at U of T & hoping for the best!
  19. Hi everyone! I've been reading people's posts here for a while now and I've finally decided to post. I'm from Toronto and I received a letter from u of t today saying that I'm waitlisted for their 2-year social work program. Looks like I'll have to wait longer now to figure out where I'll be going in September! I just wanted to know if those who receieved acceptances at u of t could share what kind of work/volunteer experience they had and their gpa! I'm curious to know! Thanks!
  20. I still haven't heard anything from UWO. I was really hoping to hear back from them last week.
