Hi, So far I got acceptances from UMass-Amherst, UNC-Chapel Hill, and UMD-College Park. My research interest is computer vision and machine learning. All three schools have good professors I want to work with. UMD has four tenured and well-known professors (at least 12+ years) UNC has two famous professors (about 7 years, going to be tenured soon) UMass is a new professor, but also has lots of good publications Therefore it is really hard to decide where to go. Any advice is welcome

So I heard this from a friend studying at CMU. The CS program in CMU (compared with LTI, ML, RI etc) is taking more and more students to earn more money. But I mean, why do you have to doubt? I still couldn't get into CMU, so congrats!

Thanks! I'll try to make a phone call to the department tomorrow. Actually the same thing happened two years ago when I was applying to CS MS of UofT. The same Prof. interviewed me, and I kept waiting until April when I finally got a rejection email...

It has been literally three weeks since my interview with UofT. I am really worried, since in the survey page there are already many admissions. In addition, the deadline for registration of visit day is 2/18.... Does anyone know about their progress? I sent emails to the department but no response.... I assumed that all admissions are already sent....

From the past result, it seems that there is only one round admission for Cornell CS PhD. (only few waitlisted people two years ago) I didn't get admission yet. Does that mean my chance is low? Anyone heard about how they make decisions? Thanks!
