  1. Albuhhh, thats what im struggling with too. Ultimately, i want to focus on intl econmics. While the strong quant will help, I feel like Georgetown is the better school for that. I wonder why theyve been so behind with releasing results. They were one of the first in years past. It makes me feel a little uncomfortable not having any communication with the future class.
  2. Between no money at gtown, they havnt released info yet, and gwu, duke's sitting prerty high in my books at the moment.
  3. Here's to hoping for some $$ from Georgetown. I hope they email us soon.
  4. Since it seems like most of us didn't receive any internal funding, I want to throw this question out there: Is GWU still a contender for you? How do you plan on funding it? I can't seem to justify denying aid elsewhere to attend GW. Many current students have high praises for GWU including stating that they turned down significant aid offers else where. I'm wondering how they're paying for it. I understand that GW's biggest draw is its location and network in DC, but I wonder if the salaries students earn while attending GW are enough to not have to take out significant amounts of loans.
  5. A few days back, I saw a heinz dc admission result posted on the results page, anyone else heard anything?
  6. Mppbluedevil: are you working on domestic or intl affairs? Im interested in intl economics, beyond intl development, and am wondering if duke is the right place for me. (The aid offer would be hard to turn down). I know duke makes a huge effort to network in dc, but while on campus i get the feeling that many internships are focused on community development in durham. I guess what im trying to understand is if duke offers that strong intl perspective im looking for.
  7. I have been frantically checking my email since I saw this post! Then, I noticed that you're applying for MPA. I hope that means MPP rolls out soon too!
  8. Hi! I'm currently a PCV hoping to join a MPP program for the Fall of 2014. I'm looking at programs with strong international concentrations and ties to the DC community. Currently, I plan on applying to: Georgetown, Duke, Uni. Maryland College Park, and American. For me, the biggest challenge of this process has been the GRE. I know it's just a piece of the application puzzle, but I feel like if I could get a handle of on it than I would feel more comfortable applying to these schools.
  9. Hi, I've been reading posts in this thread for a while now, and have finally decided to join in as the Fall 2014 application season rapidly approaches. As I continue to finalize the list of programs I want to apply to, I find myself drawn to Georgetown's MA in Democracy and Governance. However, I haven't heard anything about it and am wary of applying to a newly founded program. I am wondering if anyone has heard of it/applied to it/knows its reputation, etc Thanks!
