  1. I was accepted to Rush today (!) and will be attending their preview day March 28. The flier says parents are welcome, but do you think it would be weird to bring my mom? I think she really wants to come and it would be nice not to be alone in Chicago. It just doesn't seem like a mature thing to do. Any advice is appreciated!
  2. I emailed UNC:CH today and they replied saying decisions will be going out the first week in March. I don't know if I can wait another week!
  3. Has anyone contacted their schools to request a timeline of when admission decisions are going out? The waiting is killing me but I don't want to annoy the school. This is by far the worst part of the process for me.
  4. The wait is killing me! It seems like last year people started hearing around this time, but I haven't heard anything yet. I have the "it could be today" feeling every day. Hopefully, all the snow this year hasn't delayed everything and we'll hear soon!
  5. I just received an email from Rush University inviting me to fill out a supplemental application. It gives me hope that I haven't been rejected yet!
  6. All of my applications are submitted! Now comes the long wait until March.
  7. I am applying to MGH:IHP and the cost of attending plus living in Boston is definitely something that I have been thinking about. I have family that lives on the North Shore of MA (about 30 minutes outside Boston) so I know, worst case scenario, I could live with them. I truly am in love with the program and all the opportunities Boston has so I think I would be willing to sacrifice some extra money. That being said, my final decision will come down to a lot of factors, including cost.
  8. I honestly don't remember. I want to say about a month.
  9. flnjslp Those are great scores! Very close to what I got. The nerve wracking part is waiting for your Analytical Writing score!
  10. Hi guys! I didn't see this thread before I posted in the other one, so I'm going to repost my info over here. My name is Stacey. I am a senior at Towson University and am freaking out about this whole application process! It is so overwhelming. My Stats Undergrad- Speech Pathology and Audiology major at Towson University GRE- 156 (VR), 155 (QR), 4.5 (AW) GPA- 3.83 (cum) 3.8 (major) My Experience Summer 2010- Teacher at Special Needs Daycare Summer 2013- Summer Camp Counselor Fall 2011-present- Nanny for 2 year old and 5 year old Spring 2011-present- 5th grade Sunday School teacher Fall 2011-present- Volunteer Youth Group Advisor (teens) My Interests I'm looking to go into the medical field, specifically pediatric dysphagia. My ultimate goal would be to work in the NICU. Schools This is the part that's stressing me out! I've been working really hard to narrow my list down. My adviser and all of my professors told me I shouldn't ask for a professor for more than 5 LORs. Unfortunately, I only have strong relationships with 3 of my professors. I have officially decided to apply to 5 (possibly 6) schools. So far my list is: UNC-Chapel Hill, Vanderbilt, Rush, MGH, Towson
  11. University of Houston has a Peds track that used to be called their School Age program. I came upon it when looking for specialty tracks with a medical emphasis.

As of right now, my number 1 is UNC:CH, but that is subject to change. How many schools is everyone applying to? What is a good number to aim for? I don't want to apply to too many and overwhelm my LOR writers or myself. Does anyone know of schools with a good medical reputation?
