Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I received the NSF award yesterday and have a question for others that were awarded this year or in the past. Is it best to accept the stipend during the first three years? Considering the stipend at my school raises a bit each year, it would seem to be best financially to use the NSF stipend the first three years. Are there any reasons to defer the three years of financial support if you are currently enrolled in a graduate program? Thanks for any help!

I was accepted there also. I'm strongly considering attending but I'm a bit nervous since its the first year of the program. Anybody else have thoughts on the UChicago IME program?

I am a current undergraduate senior in biochemistry and am in the process of applying to graduate programs for next year. I found this program at Notre Dame and am intrigued by it (ibms.nd.edu). I couldn't find much information about it other than on the website itself. I was curious if anybody on here was familiar with this program, especially somebody that might currently be in it. Thanks for any help.
