Seems like it depends on which program you applied to and what their decision was. Rejections came through the mail for a lot of people. -

Just called Stanford (Immunology), and they said they would use the unofficial scores that I uploaded. I didn't ask specifically, but the tone of her voice sounded like they were still making decisions. Still some hope left -

I tried emailing them, because everything is listed as received and I have a receipt from ETS sending the scores to the right number and I got this: Dear Prospective Student, Thank you for your interest in the Biosciences Ph.D. Programs at Stanford University. The deadline to submit an application for autumn 2014 was Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Late applications will not be accepted. For information about our admissions process, our faculty, and Stanford University, please visits the following web sites: etc. etc. Well, I expect to get that rejection letter in the mail in the next few weeks. -

I'm terrible with fashion, but I would consider this casual, and with nicer pants business casual. I think of business casual as dressed up, without a tie. If there are any fashion forward people that want to add more please do. -

Thanks! I got a call on the 12th, flight info on the 17th, and a final email with the rest of the details on the 19th. They said that we'll know who we interview with when we arrive. I guess we get a folder with our specific schedule. -

From what I've read, it's mostly casual to business casual. The interview for WUSTL said casual for the dinners and business casual for the actual interviews. -

Just so you guys know, I've gotten a few interviews with a very bad undergrad GPA (1.6 my spring semester Sr year...). If you explained why you didn't perform well in the past and convinced them it won't happen in the future they'll give you a shot. Try to relax and enjoy your break. It may be the last one you have for awhile. -

There are a lot of people in the same situation, so it's hard to say one way or another. Your application is already out there now, so just try to stay positive and don't be too worried about the superstars on this site. -

I had to get my MS due to a terrible undergrad GPA, but I also have had funding for all but one semester. So, it hasn't cost me a ton of money. You don't want to get into med school type debt when you're only going to get PhD salary when it's all said and done. When they called I was so shocked, I didn't think it was real at first. Hope you get some nice options too! -
