Congrats mlk, where'd you end up? Has anyone heard from RISD painting? They said they'd be mailing out today. I've already accepted to NYAA, but I'm just curious...

If anyone else has applied to RISD painting and hasn't heard back, they said that they would be notifying no later than the 24th. Just a heads up.

Accepted into NYAA with a small scholarship. Pretty nervous right now, but happy none the less. For the scholarship, does anyone know if it's typically frowned upon to see if there's more that could be given? With high tuition, 3k for the first year doesn't amount to too much.

Also, if anyone else has applied to NYAA, I called this morning and they said emails will be sent out by the end of day today.

Waited-listed for SVA Painting as well. Does anyone know if there is a way to find out your ranking on the wait list?

Rejections from RCA and Tyler this morning. Yaaay... Still 5 left, keeping hope for better outcomes.

Have you guys filled them out? I always get sketched out filling out forms like that... I have no idea about expected income and paying into retirement funds and what scholarships I've secured etc. It freaks me out that in the fine details they can potentially kick you out for misleading information.... it's all slightly misleading as I have no idea how to answer all the questions. Ha. What have you done about it? It's due soon...

It's just personal for "fringe". They're schools that I wasn't exactly sure on applying to, as the other ones I was pretty set on. They were the on fringe of yes/no. I had to make a distinction because I had to narrow down the list I was applying to somehow! All those schools are great schools unto themselves, I just wanted to go more East coast as the style suits me better, there's a larger market, and I wanted to be further away from where I am now. The ones I ended up choosing are in my signature/footer.

After doing some very light research, here's the dates I found for a rough feedback from the schools I've applied to. Posting them here just in case anyone who has the same or similar schools is interested. Ha, I think the stress is getting to you. Mine says Painting MFA, but if they changed it does it reeeeally matter? They might have done that so not to confuse themselves with undergrad Painting?

I revert back to this when I have a lot of stress. Hope it helps a few of you on here with waiting for the inevitable:

Ya, all mine says is "Incomplete Items Outstanding" (which I called them about, my transcript got lost in the mail so I emailed one and then had to mail a new one). So unless it saying "This is a summary of the processed application that was selected." at the top of the form means anything, I'll have to wait until Monday to call or for the snail mail.

Where did you find that? I can't seem to find anything..

Ya, if it's 6:30 EST and nothing yet, I suppose it's not today. Drats, I'm preparing myself for the worst, but also stretching my legs out in case I need to do a victory dance. Ha.

So do other people have the inclination Yale might be sending stuff out today/tonight? If last year was Feb 1, and they always notify on Fridays.... today might be that day, unless they really like February, then it could be next week?
