  1. Have people gotten the acceptance envelopes from most of/all of the schools they've been admitted to? I live in England and have only received one of several so far...
  2. That's much lower than I expected! Do you know what the rates are for Harvard BBS and PENN CAMB?
  3. Has anyone encountered a need for formal attire during an interview? It is science after all and I get the sense is that casual dress is the norm, but since I'm coming from abroad for several interviews I'm hoping not to have to pack a suit.
  4. Hate to be annoying about this but just bumping this after the New Year!
  5. Hey all, Does anyone know anything about when Boulder MCDB invites go out? There seemed to be a lack of information on that in last year's thread. Has anyone heard anything from them?
  6. Hey All, How much evidence is there that those applications that are completed earlier are reviewed earlier? I'm sure it's school specific, but there seems to be a good amount discussion on this thread about when apps were completed as an indicator for when they'll be reviewed. Thanks!
  7. So general question: I am relatively unreachable by phone, as I live in Europe (but am a domestic applicant), and have no cell phone service at work, and my work hours are unpredictable. If a school awards an interview by phone and can't reach me that way, will they likely also send an email? It's just a little worrying to have to be a slave of my phone, given my unpredictable schedule and spotty phone service.
  8. Personal statement question: Since different schools require different lengths for their personal statements, I assume people are writing more and less detailed versions of their statements? When a school ask for two pages or less, is it ok for that to be single spaced, or should it be two pages double spaced? Thanks!
  9. Another question for those on here with experience: I have 4 strong reference, but many schools ask for three. Where it isn't obvious, would it be OK to send in four, or should i stick to three? Thanks!
  10. Question for those still on this forum from last year's application round: What was your experience with conflicting interview dates? I get the impression that schools have set interview weekends, and they will not meet with you outside of those times. The reason I'm particularly worried is this: I'm a domestic applicant (US citizen) but am living overseas (UK). I recently contacted one admissions office and was told that, in the case of being granted an interview, I would be expected to fly myself to the states, but they would then pay for any domestic flights. This means that I will likely be able to make only a single trip. I'm also applying to a lot of schools and am hoping for a decent amount of interviews. To what extent are schools likely to be willing to work with me to make interviews possible and ideally within a few weeks of each other? I think I'll probably have to do some picking and choosing of which schools to interview at, but how many will I have to cut. Lets say I theoretically get 10 interviews. How many would one expect I would need to forgo? Thanks!
