  1. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to take it late this month or even October. It seems to me they would say Sept. 30th just to ensure enough time to process the GRE grade by the admission deadline.
  2. I was wondering if there were any schools that had something similar to UMich's Master's in Higher Education with a Concentration in Philanthropy, Advancement, and Development. A program with that type of involvement really interests me. I would also love to know if anyone on this forum went through this concentration or one similar to it and how they felt about it!
  3. Yeah Michigan requires a Statement of Purpose (life experiences leading you to applying) which I feel pretty set with. The academic SOP is proving a bit more difficult for me to nail down. I sent you a pm with what I have! Sent you a pm as well.
  4. I wrote mine for the University of Michigan's Higher Ed program. Please reply below if interested in swapping and providing feedback via pm! The question (btw) is below: The Academic Statement of Purpose should be a concise statement about your academic and research background, your career goals, and your reasons for applying to this degree program. Please be specific in explaining how the course offerings and faculty expertise of this program fit your educational and career objectives. Please mention if you are interested in attending part-time. We are also interested in how you learned about our program.

  6. I'm having some trouble as well, but I think I'm going to somehow focus on my love of traveling. Not really fitting the hardship part but it's what I got.
  7. I would just stick with a granola bar and water, but that's just me! It depends on what you are used to really. If I downed a red bull while already being a little amped up due to the test taking, who knows what would happen. I just tried to stay hydrated and my scores went well! Good luck!
  8. I took the GRE with little prep (took two practice tests) and I think I did alright. 162V, 155Q and 4.5 AW I'm just nervous as I work on my applications about my gpa (2.99) but still hoping to return to Michigan as my top pick.
  9. I think I would like to remain in the midwest, and ideally a larger state school. I've worked briefly at a few smaller schools and I don't think I would enjoy the experience as much.
  10. I'm having trouble creating a 'reach' 'safety' and 'fallback' list of schools to apply for at this point. Looking at my list, and assuming I do well on the GRE, do the following like schools I could get accepted to currently? I am currently looking at Loyola-Chicago, Michigan, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, USC and UConn. Mostly I'm a little worried about my gpa (2.986) but I have been out of school (graduated from Michigan in '12) for two years with very applicable work experience the past two years working as a fraternity consultant.
