  2. They just sent out an email that not all of their acceptance letters were sent out...you probably got one/ are accepted!
  3. Maybe try calling and asking your status? I don't think the email was sent to all applicants, so it must be a good sign!
  4. Were you accepted? I think they sent it to all accepted students, so that if they didn't have the opportunity to meet the faculty in person they could do so via skype.
  5. Did you get the email from Brenda about skyping? I already met her and accepted their offer but it may be really beneficial for you guys!
  6. I have visited Gallaudet twice and have a friend that is a student there (different program). I loved it there...it is such a unique experience. I can try to answer any of your questions!
  7. I am not sure if it is in waves, but I just received my official acceptance in the mail today. If it is in waves, you should be hearing very soon. Best of luck to you both
  8. Thank you Holly44! Congratulations on your acceptance as well! I always see you being so supportive on here and I am really glad that you got into a program. You are very deserving and will be great at what you do:)
  9. Thank you anslpaday! I was starting to give up hope! This is my dream school and I couldn't be happier:)
  10. I got an e-mail! I already accepted the offer. I am ecstatic.
  11. Unfortunately, I have not. Last year it looks like they started notifying in April. I can't wait that long!!
  12. I didn't. :/ The interviews are taking place next week and the week after... It doesn't seem like they'd send out more invites with such a short notice. I really thought I had a chance for an interview here, so I'm kind of disappointed.
  13. Almost the same thing happened to me...except she wrote the wrong school in the LOR. Hopefully she didn't do this for ALL of my schools but I will keep my fingers crossed for the both of us...
  14. I know someone that was accepted last year without an interview, but it was also the first year of the program and they were a bit disorganized. I am not sure if they plan on accepting without interviews this year and I haven't heard of them doing so yet.
  15. Thanks everyone for the feedback... when I submitted my application on 1/14 all my documents were received by CSDACS so I am hoping that schools will be understanding. It was a stupid error and it frustrates me that they make you correct something so minuscule when they have your official transcripts already. I hope I am accepted into a program so I don't have to deal with this BS ever again.
  16. My situation was similar. I had taken courses at a community college and their classes included letters in the course number that I didn't know I had to include (ex: ENG101 was ENGB101). It was a very quick fix and I was told on the phone that they should be fixing it right away. When this happened to you was your complete date drastically changed as well?
  17. So my worst nightmare came true, my CSDCAS app could not be processed and therefore it was undelivered. It was a very minor mistake and a quick fix (in fact it could have been fixed in the time it took them to write me an email, but whatever). It says on CSDCAS that after I fix the error it should be verified within the next couple of days. It also says that while my submission date will stay the same (1/14), my completion date will now be 2/11. Does anyone know if this will this effect my application? The apps that were completed on or near the due date will be verified and sent around the same time as mine still plus you aren't allowed to complete an app after it is due on CSDCAS. I am just worried since my complete date will now say 2/11. UGH I HATE CSDCAS.
  18. I applied to Maine and W. Michigan....Maine's application process has been absolutely horrid for me.
  19. Was it University of Maine? If so, I got the same exact letter. I already have an application in progress for them, so I was thinking they were sending me the letter to ensure they got their 30$ application fee....but who knows.
  20. That's odd, because the career center at my school says that it should be two pages, otherwise it looks empty. I noticed some schools request them to be around 2 pages as well.
  21. Does anyone know if there is a course that could be considered the equivalent to a clinical methods course? This class is only taught at the graduate level at my University, but some schools require it as an undergraduate course that must be taken. Any ideas?
  22. Hello everyone, I am in need of some advice. I am horrible with standardized tests...I become incredibly anxious, and stressed (and the time limit certainly does not help). The first time I took the GRE's I didn't really know what to expect. I didn't do so hot, even with studying for several months, so I decided to take them again. So I studied again, this time knowing what to expect. I didn't feel as anxious or nervous so I was certain I was going to do better. WRONG. I did A LOT worse. I am starting to become really depressed because these scores are in no way a reflection of my intelligence...I simply don't test well. I should also add that I am 25, and have not taken geometry in about a decade, which makes it that much harder. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve GRE scores? I feel like I am prepared each time but the actual GRE is way different from the practice questions/ tests/ material I studied. What tools worked the best for you? Are there certain books or other materials that you found more beneficial than others? If you paid for a class/ prep program, which one and would you recommend it? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any feedback!
  23. Okay thanks!! It is my top choice since I grew up around sign and TA for the ASL classes at my school. Good luck to you as well!!
  24. Hi all, I had applied to Gallaudet, and as many as you have already probably seen, they sent out acceptances last week. But I have yet to hear anything from them. I went to the admissions office to ask in person as I was in the DC area, and all they could tell me was that they haven't finished accepting students, and that I will get something in the mail. A week later, and still nothing. I would at least like to know where I stand, and have HORRIBLE anxiety. Does anyone understand their admissions process? Do they send out acceptances in waves and THEN wait-list others? If so, when do they send out wait list letters? I feel like April is quickly approaching, and they should let their applicants know where they stand. It does not seem that there is a lot of information on Gallaudet here, so I am hoping someone knows something about this! Thanks:)
