jmu- I am anxiously awaiting a decision from Yale. I think this week should be the week but who knows? They went on spring break yesterday so I am hoping decisions were at least submitted to the graduate school.

Anthro2014- Dang, way to go! I also did and e-mailed mine as well. Still waiting a response. Let us know when you hear and I will be sure to do the same.

Thanks Sarab and Strudelle: There seems to be no rhyme or reason in how about a POI will notify, or even if they will at all. I guess my POI's silence is what's driving me mad but then again, I haven't asked anything nor do I think I will.

Hi all, I thought i would start a post about POI's that give you the unofficial heads up that you got in before the official decision from the GSAS. Is this common? From what I understand, it is far from standard procedure but many seem to do it. Should the fact that we haven't heard from a POI be cause for alarm, or are they just more apt to following the rules. I would appreciate thoughts, comments, experiences….

Maybe since Yale anthro faculty had a meeting today, we can expect some results in the coming day or two. Any thoughts potential Yalies????

@katekali29- well, first off I certainly hope you are not rejected. Second, I wonder if the department gives them all files at once or just as each subfield makes a decision…they could very well still be making decisions

@Melin4- yes! Last weekend someone form a school I am waiting on searched me and then a couple of days later a search from 30 minutes away from that city. I haven't heard anything yet. What are the chances our academia.edu account will give them any new or better info not mentioned in the SOP or CV?? Who knows @Fasboo- I agree with you. Some people got acceptances for Yale, 3 I believe, so there is still room!

I posted this elsewhere, but there is a faculty meeting at Yale tomorrow according to their calendar. I wonder if further admission decisions will be made…any guesses? So far, only three acceptances...
