Did anyone in the MSW program at SJSU, receive an ADD CODE for a practicuum/internship spot? I had received an email that sometime in late July, we would be emailed add codes/sections to add to our current schedule...

@GCA278 congrats!! Are you attending the field fair scheduled for Thurs 05/29 at 10am-noon?

I also received my official acceptance letter in the mail yesterday, Thursday, May 15th.

I am declining my offer because I have accepted my offer at SJSU.

The email makes it sound as if there will be another field fair day for another set of group of students... "If you are receiving this email it means that you are one of a select group of applicants to our MSW Program..." Lets not lose hope! As a graduate student entering our full-time program you will have your first internship in the Fall. This year a Field Fair has been scheduled for you on Thursday May 29th from 10:00 AM-noon. Below is the announcement of this first time event from Dr. Jacky Bloom our Director of Field Education. Please direct any questions about this event to Dr. Bloom. Important field information for two year (full-time) students: There will be a field fair on May 29th from 10 am to noon. The field fair will be held in the ballroom of the Student Union. Attendance is required. The field fair provides an opportunity to meet Intern Coordinators and Field Instructors. It is an important activity for gathering information about first year agencies and internships. Please bring resumes to give to Field Instructors and the Field Education Team. At the conclusion of the fair you will submit your top agency interests to the field team along with your resume. Refreshments will be provided at the fair. After the field fair there will be an information session where the field office team will answer questions about internships. More information about the field fair and information session will be sent to you next month. You will receive the first year field application shortly. "

@amy1 How did you accept your offer? i simply emailed Barry Goldman-Hall back accepting my admission to SJSU... I have a mandatory MSW "Field Fair" on Thurs. May 29th... Good Luck to everyone else waiting as well...

We are in May already and the deadline was beg. of Feb...CSU East Bay should at least send out a courtersy email to all applicants stating a brief update on the review process! Or at least answer emails!

Has anyone heard from CSU East Bay? I tried contacting Lynn and even emailed her asking her when will denial/acceptance letters be sent out to applicants but never got a response.... I already took my MSW offer elsewhere, but I am curious what my outcome resulted at CSU East Bay.

For those of you that interviewed for the Title IV-E stipend interview, can you please share some of the questions asked? Thank you!

Barry Goldman-Hall emailed me on April 3rd with a congratulatory email into the MSW program. As of today, 04/07, my SJSU application status changed to: The status of your application is: Accepted-Classified Graduate

@guyinshortsallday I turned in my complete MSW application to SJSU on the VERY LAST day, which was Friday, January 24th around 4pm.

I also got accepted to the MSW at SJSU for Fall 2014!! I had received a private call which i forwarded because I was busy which i regret because I'm assuming it was the congratulatory call but no voice message was left. Instead, an email was sent to me!! "Dear Diana, Please be informed that your application to our MSW Program for Fall 2014 admission has been reviewed, and that we are offering you a spot in our 2-year program with your chosen Field of Practice; Children, Youth, and Families. Congratulations, and we look forward to you joining us! Please confirm (preferably via email) your intent to enroll with us, and I will process your official admission through the University. You will receive further information from us later in the Spring, but please do not hesitate to contact me directly should you have further questions. Barry Goldman-Hall, LCSW MSW Admissions Director School of Social Work San Jose State University" I emailed immediately, receiving a response immediately.!!! I'm soooooo HAPPY!!

Seats were offered to qualifyable applicants whom had applied to the 2-year but couldn't get in due to all the seats filled but had some openings to their 3-yr program...therefore,, those applicants were asked if they were interested in the 3-yr program instead...

Congrats!! Do you recall when you submitted your entire application to SJSU? I submitted mine on the very last day! Haven't heard anything =/

I applied to the 2 year program. I read somewhere that seats were offered (last year) to the 2 yr applicants for the 3 yr program as seats opened up!!
