Hmm...interesting. I've heard of some of the rumblings about the J-school at CU-Boulder. Didn't hear about the scandal in the philosophy department. One of my LOR writers went here and suggested it to me, otherwise wouldn't have applied based on the climate.

Yeah, that State College flight is a tiny plane, too. (The little planes creep me out haha.) Also the fare was like $250 cheaper to just fly to Philly.

But I contacted them about what the website said was my missing GRE score - turns out they are having trouble with their grad applicant tracking system.

FYI for those of you who applied to CU-Boulder in the Department of Journalism & Mass Comm. I've contacted the department and the selection committee will be meeting next week, with offers most likely made by next Thursday or Friday 2/13-2/14. However, there's always a waitlist, as well. In case any of you guys have applied there.

Just got my official USC rejection letter. Knew it was coming, but it still kinda sucks. Anyhow, I guess the first round of rejections have been made! Leblebleb7- Good luck at Northwestern!!!!

Just got accepted to the University of Kentucky! Exciting to be accepted somewhere. I'm waiting to hear from UT and CU-Boulder too. Nothing yet! And thank you, Duna, for renewing the hope for those of us not invited to USC's visit day! Good luck to all of you!

Hi elvans! I've applied to a few on this list (the first three) and heard absolutely nothing. I'm not expecting much until February...I'm scheduling my panic attack for after 2/1. Haha.

Awesome, KentuckyCurls! He's on my thesis committee. Really cool dude. I'm sure it's a great sign you were able to talk to him for such a long time! I know MM&C is a pretty small program, but there's the benefit of it being really interdisciplinary, and everybody I've met in it has been super friendly and really into research. (I'd apply there myself if I hadn't already done my undergrad & MA at Temple!). That's so awesome! Congrats! Are you applying to the doctoral program in MM&C? (I'm in the MA program there now, but not applying there for my PhD.) If you don't mind me asking, who are you interviewing with?

Have you guys heard about when any of the programs will start making decisions? I remember Michigan told me they'd start in the end of January. This wait is going to suck massively! Haha...at least I have my thesis to keep me occupied...

Hello everyone! I'm an MA student now, graduating in the spring. Finished my coursework and now finishing my thesis for the spring. Trying to apply for Fall 2014, as well. My background is in music production/anthropology (undergrad) and television/new media theory (grad), and I'm looking for programs emphasizing qualitative/anthropological methods, audience studies, and critical theory. My top 5 are: Michigan (LSA), Colorado, Massachusetts, Pittsburgh, and Indiana. Great to meet other people in the same crappy admissions process haha!
