I was really really considering LSHTM, but after a little more time I feel like the dissertation and coursework all completed within one year would take away from a lot. haha While I wanna work internationally, I think a few of the US schools will offer me better placement in the US and internationally - and I like the support that US universities give for job placement, etc.

No doubt I want to work in consulting. I would love to try and create fiscally reasonable health systems in developing countries. I'm interested in management, in a global sphere

Ugh thanks ya'll!! I think I'm attending USC's because it's the dean scholars event and I love Southern California and they reimburse $200 of the flight; but I'm not sure I'll make it to BU (same day) or Emory as so many flights just add up and I just bought a flight to Europe and my wallet is weeping I think I'll visit BU on my own and just message someone from the school as I'm going to visit my roommate over spring break who lives in Cambridge.

Hi y'all! Not really sure how to proceed here haha A lot of the programs have admitted students days - is anyone else going to them (BU, Emory, etc...)? I really want to go but it's hard because a lot of places wont rent a car to me/can't get a hotel room (at least the places I've called) so I'm kind of screwed it feels like... my mom really wants to go with me but the dates of them don't work for her (she'll be in chemo/radiation). Would it hinder the experience to go just visit on a "free day" and not the admitted students day? (I only attended one proper day in for undergrad) /mostly just rambling

between my sister and I we added a Tulane & Miami (applied for the MPH/MAIA so waiting on MAIA) acceptance

I'm sure you're fine. I applied a long time ago. Let's just say a very very high ranking individual IN GWU's SPHHS wrote my letter of recommendation and I just find it a little funny

Still getting killed in admissions... not really sure what to do hah Denied from UPenn I already *know* I'm deferring (have the opportunity to au pair for an ambassadors family in Europe) so I may reapply to one or two next year... but I'm not sure.

Rejected from JHU & Yale. It's weird, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. I haven't been rejected from a University thus far (I didn't push myself when applying for undergrad, mostly just matches, 2 reaches). Here's to ben & jerry's and wine

Same... hrrrm Also, final question - so the application date for one of the schools I applied to was 12/15... I submitted my SOPHAS application on 12/09 but it hasn't been mailed out... does that mean it'll get discredited/ignored? or is it just the submission deadline and thus I made it in time Also, since I'm on I'll ask my sisters question for her... Did anyone receive confirmation from Vandy or Penn?

Hmm do you know how long it took? My apps were sent on the 9th or 10th and I haven't heard confirmation from like ... 4 of the schools and I'm just a nervous nelly /sorry so many questions/
