This thread is shooting all kinds of holes in my hopes and dreams.

1 rejection here. I knew it was coming and for some reason was still bummed when I got it. Hang in there. The wait is killing me (as I am sure it is for all of you), but hopefully it will be over soon (?).

Well said, Alterman. I feel like next week might be a big week for notifications. Fingers crossed.

I spent around a thousand dollars for the entire process: 9 school applications (no fee waivers); GREs; Sending GREs to schools; Having transcripts sent to schools (like fifteen bucks per crack); Re-application to one school due to an applicaton getting sent to the wrong department. The cost, however, of my dwindling sanity and rising stress is beyond quantification.
