Congrats!! Was the call from a prof? dept?

Got into Princeton! (I got a generic email today from the DGS so I called in to make sure and apparently the Dept sent their initial letter to the wrong email address) So thankful right now

In at Yale - (also informed by an email to check the website) I saw a posting a few pages back that Yale's funding is lower this year.. any truth? On last year's results page someone wrote they were receiving $25,500... Do you think it'll be similar this year? Looks like we're down to just a few more days. GL everyone!!!

Maybe they're sending paper letters instead of emails... but i hope you're right about a different process!

wow congrats to whoever the Harvard acceptance! I didn't realize they're sending out such early notices. btw, for the person who emailed Stanford for the status update, did you email the polisci dept or graduate admissions?

did anyone try calling the admissions office? ah the anxiety...

Any idea when schools host admits? Mid-March? April? Also I'm assuming these events are usually on the weekend right? Are stipends provided for airfare/hotel? Thanks for any info you can pass this way

Do you mean a focus on Japan is a hard fit for Yale and UT or a focus on East Asia in general? Is this because they don't have faculty to support the research? I would think East Asia is huge in most polisci depts...
