  1. I just got off a wait list today - I actually think it's relatively common to hear back at the last minute. I had decided ahead of time what my decision would be. If you're still waiting, I wouldn't hesitate to get in touch with the department!
  2. levoyous I've still heard nothing, and yes, I'm thinking the same exact thing. I'm considering inquiring about my application status if I don't hear anything soon. If not for the fact that I've seen no other results go up, I would think they'd lost my application or something.
  3. It's not unheard of to hear back on April 15th, and in fact, I'm almost assuming that's when I'll hear from the school I'm wait-listed at. My recommendation would be to try to arrange a visit to Northwestern and have your decision in mind in the case you do get a last-minute acceptance. I'm kind of in the same boat as you - I've been accepted to one program and am wait-listed at another, and I will have visited both programs by the time April 15th rolls around. Good luck! I did my BA at Northwestern, and from the perspective of an undergrad at least, the history department was fabulous!
  4. Still nothing from NYU. I really wish they'd let us know. I'm assuming it's a rejection, but as you said, it's nice to have all the cards on the table.
  5. I'm on the wait list at Johns Hopkins and I'm trying to get a feel for what my chances might be. Has anybody been accepted and is thinking about turning it down for another offer? Thanks!
  6. hardtack&coffee thanks for the info, I just saw those two posts go up. I'm also waiting on NYU, so I guess today could be the day.
  7. Me neither, but I applied to the joint PhD so I guess the timeline is a bit different.
  8. Any news on the IFS/History at NYU?
  9. Maelia8 I basically had that same thought process. My undergraduate thesis advisor told me she's very "whatever" when it comes to being contacted by prospective students.
  10. Ohhh ok I had no idea the history department just signs off on the IFS decision. Fingers crossed for the both of us!
  11. I'm an American but I'm currently living abroad. I also applied to the joint French and history program, so maybe there's a difference there. Ah well, I should probably stop spazzing about it and wait it out, but I can't help it, haha.
  12. levoyous do you know by chance if that means that those who weren't invited won't be accepted?
  13. levoyous I noticed you have NYU French/History separate from just History. Is this referring to the joint PhD?
  14. New England Nat thanks for the Princeton updates!
  15. It's been so quiet on the results board this week! Calm before the storm?
