wow guys, just saw a long list of rejects from Princeton... sincere condolences. Why nobody didn't apply to low-ranked, safe universities, like me? Or i'm just stupid?

It's fake, obviously. They made their decisions in March last year.

Thank you for these words, but sadly for me admition is likelottery mostly. I'm young, i've no experience at all...i'm just lucky to finish my bachelor degree so fast and then immediately apply to phd. May be it's a mistake

You guys are both overthinking too much. I really envy your experience and background. You have no idea how cool and close to being accepted everywhere you are If I try to compare my background with yours, I'd be a 6-year kid and you are 21-year students.

I see you're German. I was thinking about applying in Europe, but didn't find anything to fit my research topic. Also I've noticed language requiremnts. Since I dunno anything but Russian and English - Europe is not my cup of tea...

What universities did you apply? I'm asking because seems like most folks out here are Americans. Seems like most of forum users overall applied to top-ranked schools. For instance, i've not heard anybody applied to cincinnatti...

I'm not really sure, but perhaps they didn't send you rejects because you haven't been rejected yet and still have a chance, if anyone will decline their offer. What's your GRE?

Have anyone ever been offered with low GRE scores? I mean, I have 147/156/3.0. I know I should've thought about this much earlier and may be retake it or even try to apply next year. But it's too late to turn back. Do I have any chances? Or I better shut down my e-mails windows in my browser, turn PC off and never come back on this forum?

Btw, when is the deadline to take an offer from particular university?

For better statistics, we should also post all rejections as well as offers.

May be I'm being overoptimistic, but after looking up accepts and rejects list for 2012-2013 years I'm sure it's nearly impossible to be rejected everywhere if you have, say, 10 universities in your list. What do you think?
